Sanji definitely looked/looks worse but atleast it's against a Flying Six member and her crew. Sanji's getting kicked around but it's all superficial damage that'll disappear when he encounters the Calamity that he'll fight. Zoro didn't look as bad against those Gifters but compared to what people were predicting (him recreating then topping his Whiskey Peak feat by beating all 500 of them), him struggling at all and getting assistance was kinda disappointing. No worries though, Zoro's helping in the fight against Kaido and might still get his Calamity fight, depending how everything goes and Sanji will definitely get his Calamity fight. Oda isn't afraid
to humiliate his characters (especially Sanji) but he knows when to give them spotlight and redeem them.

yes he returned with bandages, meaning he was hit by Zoro and there were alot of them, Zoro wouldnt go for finishing blows on each character, every single Gifter out there including the ones Sanji beat has now returned in current chapter (1004) and they are now allies ... and yes Zoro fought them and they are alive, why is that a bad thing ?

It's not a bad thing. Zoro just didn't finish them off like he was supposed to.
