Lucci is very strong but zoro is very very strong. that is the whole point of that fight. Oda also made lucci clash equaly with nika and match his haki to gave us an idea of how strong awakened lucci is for real.

For this conclusion…………… Not even a full double page spread of them fighting. This fight was a complete waste of Time. Doesn’t matter how much stronger Zoro then the opponent, Jimbei Vs Who’s Who and Luffy Vs Blueno are proof Low diff fights can have good choreography.
Beyond nasty work by Oda to not atleast give the fight a dedicated chapter……..

I agree. Tbh, I think Oda gave up of Zoro. He don't even try anymore since his fans are happy no matter what.
He just has to make Zoro teleport behind the enemy and is good enough for the fans.

Atleast give them 5pages more. Could have gone for a Jimbe/WsW fight and everything would be cool.
They could have commented on Lucci's awakening boost within 2 scenes or something, talk about what's up with Rokuogan, have some speed based panels with a Geppo+ whatever combo move that Zoro handles and then come up with the finish.

This would atleast have some substance. Instead he's going for filler pages.

Who the fuck cares. This dude has already been defeated three times... the sole purpose of the fight was to stall Zoro away from the main event. After Oda place Lucci against Luffy only for him to be annihilated, Lucci as a character already didn't have anything to say anymore.

All the people disappointed in this fight are not Zoro fans, I wonder what their expectations for it were... smh.

Hyouzou is a bad fight , but just like all the other fights in fishman island it was a flex of the strawhats strength. These guys were fodder as well. None of them had the hype /expectation Lucci does.

Hyouzou is a bad fight , but just like all the other fights in fishman island it was a flex of the strawhats strength. These guys were fodder as well. None of them had the hype /expectation Lucci does.

Even for a flex that fight was trash. Zoro had already flexed on Hody (the arc villain) earlier in the arc, and it wasn't just regular flexing he completely dominated Hody in his home territory.
Hyouzou's existence itself had zero impact aside from him being oneshot material for Zoro

And that is why I am saying for a while now that the worldbuilding that is so revered in the community is the demise of the series. Along with Oda wanting to show too much and bloating everything.

Reminder: Oda wanted a fire and an ice island he fused them.
He wanted a chibi people island,but fused green bit with dressrosa.
He simply still can't decide to cut off shit so he cramms more and more stuff in each page with million tiny panels in every single page.

The scope of the world has become too grand now. You can't focus on only 10 people,but Oda decided to cut 9 members part to give the rest of the cast shit to do,but one character has the same focus he had from the beginning,so it seems that he gets even more panel time than he got in the past.
