Hmm, I've changed my mind on it. For now, I think Zoro didn't draw blood from Kaido or otherwise significantly damage him this chapter. I might reconsider if the Viz reveals that Kaido indeed complimented Zoro and Killer on their attack.

@Geo.
Viz is out.
Kaido said "well done"
Then went on to call them monsters in their own right.

He complimented all of them even though they didn't damage him

The first part is true, they could not cut Kaido now.

We get a zoom on Kaido's clean neck and Zoro's unhappy comment to clarify that.

At least Zoro can get more out of Enma, and with all the build up he is guaranteed to cut him in the future :super:
He did cut him and obviously Zoro can get more. He in control like we have been saying. If he didn't Kaido wouldn't be impress. Like he sighh when Luffy in the first fight, but is smiling in this fight because its exciting.

Like they always say,
"If you fail the first time, you will achieve it the second time" - out of my ass probably.
Out of allllll the body part of Kaidou, Oda chose his neck to be the first target from Zoro's first strike on a Yonkou. Surely this must mean something rightttttttttt :zosleepy:
The neck was targeted by Killer, Zoro's Oni Giri struck his body.

It's exciting because of what Luffy has shown him with that initial punch.

The following attacks have yet to measure up in any way, but he's gving them all a chance and embracing them being strong individuals.

They could not cut him, but most people can't. He did not know that Ashura could cut him initially but he respected his strengh and wanted him to join his crew. Same with Kidd and Luffy as they were back then, that's why he kept them alive. Even Kawamatsu.

Killer and Zoro could not cut him with these attacks, but there's no huge stake on them failing to do so initially for you to get caught up in it. Zoro will cut him eventually, no need to fight for feats that are not there now, embrace them when they'll come.

Bro im not engaging with your nonesense. The viz is out now. Their no arguments. He said "well done". I don't argue things thats literal facts. Yall Take all those Ls and juggle it between each other. We will be ack again in chapter 1002 for the next batch of Ws

To clarify on what I said, a horizontal neck slash is not the kind of attack (Rengoku) Oni Giri is. Here are other examples.

Vs Killer:

Vs Hyouzou:

In Little Garden:

Vs Cabaji:

Onigiri has always produced multiple slashes and on the torso. It doesn't produce a single horizontal slash. There's no reason it would suddenly start operating completely differently vs Kaido.
