Only this panel is an argument for me, to be honest and I can't see Oda making a SH kill on Panel. What's the point as well if Luffy already beat him?Unless you think Luffy won't beat the guy,he set his eyes to take out ever since Punk Hazard,making Zoro eclipse Luffy in the arc he is supposed to be recnognized as a Great pirate and come close to fullfilling his promise with Shanks...




As for the last argument,yes indeed,of course Zoro is saying he is aiming for Kaidou there. Every single person does that. That was the purpose of the raid. While the rest of the BP are stupored ,the alliance is supposed to take the head of the supreme commader.

I will say though,if Kaidou is an actual dragon maybe it is a window purposefully created from Oda,hence the "thing","dreaded monster" from his fellow emperors.

See, this is why I fundamentally disagree with preventing people from bringing up past mistakes...if you had the conviction to say something controversial and easily disputed in the canon, you should be able to take your lumps when the inevitable occurs. I’ll absolutely be ready for a metric ton of mockery if Yamato doesn’t leave Wano with Luffy, but that possibility seems slimmer than chances ever were for Zoro fighting Kaido. Ipso facto, you pay the price for fucking up in full view of a toxic and VERY eager fandom

I need so bad to see Zoro not fighting Kaido at all. Not because i actually care or i don't think he's going to cut him (narratively it makes sense) but just because Zoro fans took it for granted when nothing since 20 years puts Zoro not only near Luffy - who couldn't even scratch Kaido after having beaten a YC1- but in his same league

and Luffy wanted to save Ace. and Ace is now dead, sometimes characters don't always get what they want.
They don't have the power to do so.
