Getting your arm taken isn't really a career ender
Lucci won’t be able to do Rokuogan
This is a severe nerf

Cause all it is doing right now is keeping Zoro occupied while plot happens.
@TheSufferingGob Thats the purpose itself
for whatever reason Oda doesn’t want Zoro or Jimbei in this ruckus regarding saturn
Oda probably calculated how many strawhats are acceptable to be incapacitated by Saturn without it looking like Saturn is too overpowered… If Saturn could keep the ENTIRE strawhat crew down somehow in this one spot, it would be ridiculous since this is a Yonko crew

In OP, there is this ongoing trend of right hand men taking arms.
Beckman took Kid’s arm
Killer took Hawkins’s arm
I believe Zoro will take Lucci’s arm. Why?
With Zoro vs Lucci, Lucci will face his third defeat at the hands of the SHs. I feel like this time, he’s going to end up getting kicked out of the WG for good, as it would be too repetitive to see him come back in the future.
He ought to retire. Maybe become a pirate. Or maybe get married and settle down. Either way, I see Zoro ending his career.
@Monkey D Theories i might have to agree on your theory
this Zoro vs Lucci fight almost needs something shocking to justify it now… like it has no importance to the plot whatsoever and it’s seemingly not even being considered worth any details of how it actually plays out… Both Lucci and Zoro are moving into their strongest forms offscreen with no fight progression to justify it (like are we supposed to assume Lucci can’t be hurt by Zoro’s CoA, Zoro’s CoA can hurt Kaido and yet he has jumped to using AdvCoC before we can even tell whether his CoA is effective against Lucci)
this type of lack of detail or importance to the fight can only be made worse by a meh ending… Like we just cut back for Zoro’s final hit on Lucci and he just cuts him in two pages and that’s that… And Oda just says Zoro is too tired from this offscreen fight which we can’t scale to go help his friends… And Zoro collapses right there from offscreen tiredness and is removed from the arc
this is so anticlimactic I would be that’s exactly what’s going to happen
but assuming Oda can tell he’s headed for an anticlimax and wants to actually make it entertaining, I would almost expect a twist like the one you’re suggesting… like something about the end of the fight has to makke up for how offscreen and lame it’s been so far
