No. There are too many zealots who LIE about Zoro tanking hakai (when he merely blocked it for a few moments) and other shit to make him seem stronger than he is. He is mid diff material for Luffy and a lot of these same zealots say that he is stronger. Therefore, some sane people have counterbalance the insanity.

The same sane people who claim Sanji is equal if not stronger than Zoro i take it

That’s not a 180. Zoro realized he couldn’t cut down Kaido no matter what. He failed because he wasn’t strong enough. This only got double downed during the king fight where king regularly overpowered him.

Zoro didn’t have a behavioral shift. He learned his limits and put his faith in luffy to do something he couldn’t, take down Kaido.
