No, they were not equal, they just attacked something together. I am not ignoring potrayal. Zoro has better potrayal, stated to be stronger in datebooks and has better feats.

Their combat feats are near equal when they both get serious fights within the same arc. Yes a consistent streak of equal damage being done by their attacks is a pattern.
Kaku=Jyabura supercedes any databook nonsense, you are delusional if you think otherwise.

If Luffy is already Old Rayleigh level, he wouldn't need all the help he's getting rn to beat Kaido. No SN from WG is Rayleigh level. Luffy may hit that barrier after tremendously growing stronger post Kaido's fight.

1. Luffy hasn't gone all out and will be finishing Kaido off in the endgame of this arc.
2. Rayleigh was slightly inferior to Kizaru who is signifcantly inferior to Kaido.

Slam Gibson better not just be another metal arm slap. Hopefully he at least uses armament hardening with this one. If he can use hardening on his giant metal limbs that could be very destructive.
