his durability wasnt the best because he isnt kaido or big mom and I doubt it ever was.
That wasnt why he was the strongest. what he could do with his fruit was much more substantial.

Are you daft? Akainu was whooping Whitebeards ass he blew off half his head and put a hole in his chest. Whitebeard landed two good hits after Akainu executed ace! If he was stronger then Akainu he would have killed him he had the motive the reason and the he capabilities according to you but he couldn’t. Why wouldn’t he kill the man who just killed his son and blew off his face? Whitebeard was no match for akainu

not only squardo, fodder marines were able to dig their blades and wound wb . wouldnt be the case for kaido or big mom who have tougher exteriors but it does not mean those 2 are stronger than wb. It does however imply they are more durable.
