The talk was specifically about Enma being upgraded to supreme level when turning black. The talk wasn't about every blade automatically rising in rank. Plus, there is no other category known, the supreme rank is already the biggest one, so Yoru will stay in the biggest one. Mihawk called it strongest sword, so maybe it became the strongest one after becoming black, but before that still being in the supreme rank.
Enma revealed that you can upgrade it's tier if you turn it black, so based on that mihawk blade only became one of the 12 after it became black, originally it was one of the 21.
WB's weapon is the true supreme grade sword that is that level without turning it black to upgrade it. Similar zoro's 21 grade swords from kuina, nidai kitetsu, enma will become supreme grade once they become black.

Going off of different translations, official one seems to be talking about rank, while fan translations range from rank to level.
But i dont see any reason to suggest that this implies it will change from great to supreme grade sword.
Not to mention this:
Kinda indicates the grades are in regards to the craftmenship/artisanship, and therefore are a fixed number. (which i always thought anyway since these numbers were revealed the first time)

oh and also, even IF this would be the case, this would just mean that yoru used to be an inferior weapon, as now it is, elevated through being a permanent black blade, equal . . . . . . . .
I don't see the point of this thread. Even if Yoru wasn't a supreme grade before, it is supreme grade now. So Mihawk wields supreme grade sword. In another words, Mihawk's sword is one of best swords.
On the other hand, WB wielded a supreme grade blade. But that's it. It is not above other supreme grade blades. It may have (and I stress on 'may') potential to be above Yoru (assuming Yoru wasn't a supreme grade sword from the beginning), but it is not as it is now.
So, the only way WB's bisento can be above Mihawk's Yoru is if:
Mihawk's Yoru wasn't supreme grade from the beginning
WB's bisento was black blade in addition to being supreme grade
We have no idea regarding No. 1 and we know No. 2 isn't true. So, WB's Bisento > Mihawk's Yoru is just not possible. At best, WB's Bisento = Mihawk's Yoru.

And even if we count WB Bisento an exception from above statement by not counting it a sword. I dont think any such words of hype are there for WB bisento but it simply also being part of Supreme Grade sword.
So Current Yoru>WB Bisento.
About How WB Bisento would fare against Mihawk Yoru after turning Perma Black are but Assumptions. It didn't happened in Story and it won't, we don't know how Oda would handled these swords in that scenario. At this moment what this thread is asking is but Your Assumptions vs each of us Assumptions.
While Enma vs Shusui, do make your point seems valid. But since Mihawk is WSM and WB, not much to do with swords, what not to say Oda always would have made Mihawk Yoru still the best.
