You understand that from plot perspective it makes sense.

Zoro has literally dedicated his life to combat, he trains all the time and he was trained by strongest swordsman in the world, the peak of his craft and came outta training with a lost eye.

That captain > VC dynamic never applied to Zoro cuz they operate more like partners or in most situations Zoro like Luffy's big brother.

Then Luffy had an arc to catch up anyways. So its just your biased perspective that you wanted Luffy to always be equal or stronger

Otherwise, Vista or Mihawk should never be surpassed by Luffy as most swordsman in general are training like maniac like Zoro

Yes man, if it weren't for ZORO the luffy would have already lost to DRAGON KAIDO the weakest form of KAIDO. And I remember some people thinking that he alone could defeat kaido in 1x1. He lost in this chapter, for me if he was solo in this fight against KAIDO he would have already been defeated. I consider what happened to luffy and his G4 a defeat for him, kaido beat him.

Doesn't anybody notice that most characters that has beef with Kaido now identifies as Oden:

- First we have Yamato: She's Oden because she read his journal and became possessed by him.
- Second the scabbards: They're Oden because they have his will and Ryou.
- Third Luffy: He's possessed by Oden's shadow.
- Fourth Zoro: He's Oden because he's using Oden's sword that's filled with Oden's juice.

Who's next now? Maybe we'll see Momo pull a Gon from HxH and becomes adult Oden later in the arc and take down Kaido Neferpitou style. I seriously won't be surprised if that really what end up happening now.
