I think people need to stop using Marineford to powerscale the present. We all know that war was really inconsistent, Oda hadn't figured out how strong a Yonko was back then, so he made WB the World's Strongest Man and made him execute all those feats, but since we entered the New World, we have been seeing crazy fucking feats that make WB and his commanders look pathetic, it just doesn't make sense.
Take Jinbei for example, during Marineford he tried to stop Akainu twice, he even hit the dude directly on the torso and made half of his magma body get deleted, but for some reason he didn't use haki and because of that Luffy got fucked.
Are you telling me that Jinbei, a quite experienced and old Jinbei, didn't know Haki? and he only learned it during the timeskip? and now after only 2 years he has strong enough haki to block attacks from Big Mom herself?
But wait, Jinbei had to know haki, because he fought against Ace for days, that wouldn't make any sense without Haki.
There's even another weird moment where Akainu is dealing with both Marco and Vista, Akainu says that dealing with Haki Users sucks, but in that moment Vista cuts Kaido's neck clean off with a sword, if that strike was using haki Akainu should've been dead, that makes no sense at all.
So stop using Marineford like it's a perfect expample for powerscaling in the present.
You can even see Oda fixing a bit of those mistakes when he makes characters from back then show up again, like Marco during Wano is already a beast and way stronger than he was back during Marineford. Unfortunately WB died before Wano, so we will never really know how strong Oda wanted him to be back then. Because of that, that old and weaker version of WB, stuck in a weaker version of the verse, could never deal with Prime Kaido and all his powers.
