No, Mihawk said it was more difficult.

Narrative purposes. The narrative requires Zoro and Luffy be responsible for the supermajority of the damage dealt to Kaido. You're probably aware of the reasons for Luffy, but for Zoro, here's my first post on it:
A Look at Inherited Will in the Land of Wano (ZKK: Part 1)

Zoro has been so much more impressive than Kidd, that I don't consider this credible. Kidd isn't taking a major role vs. Kaido.

Using barrier COA drained his haki reserves much faster.
Well Law didn't seem like he was going to take a major role in the Doffy fight either, but just when everyone concluded him being down for the count, Gamma Knife and countershock came out of nowhere.

Oda definitely has something in major in store for Kidd. How far he plans on taking it, remains to be seen.

Nah, Law had a very strong narrative around defeating Doflamingo. Kidd doesn't have that.

KAIDO D. STRONGER

I don't think you're understanding my point.
Killer (a person) says Kaido is the strongest.
He doesn't need to address it as a rumor, it's the truth for him.
Oda is telling us, people within the story say Kaido is the strongest.
Case and point being Killer literally calling Kaido the strongest pirate.

That doesn't confirm anything, because Oda as the author isn't calling him the strongest.
He's saying people in his story think of him as the strongest.
For Mihawk for example, he is the strongest in both perception and reality.
Okay, sengoku saying that WB is the strongest and has the power to destroy the world does not confirm anything.

I understand the logic.

Sengoku saying that SHANKS has an impregnable team does not confirm anything.

Because in the end it's just a person saying something.
That is why the term "say" applies to everyone.
Buggy said that WB was the strongest pirate, Sengoku the same thing, it's plural people who say (speak).

But you are clearly in trouble ...

after all, if you have two people saying that WB is WSP, it also deserves to be interpreted as (people say).

At the same time you have people telling you to bet on kaido at 1x1. So that clearly negates what Buggy and Sengoku were saying.
So which of the people are right?
In the end kid, killer, sengoku, buggy, and others, are just people saying something.
You can't believe anything in this manga anymore because it's always the characters who say (speak) something.
Your logic is flawed!

Better than anything any admiral has ever gotten
Lol, Kaido's "Worlds strongest" title is basically a meme now. Like fodder reffering to Big mom as the world's strongest old hag, it's cheap hype for them because Oda is not creative enough. At least Mihawk and WB have received titles that can't be put into question.

I rather have no Admiral be associated with a title than this half assed meme.
