Yes. Akainu is a Mihawk level character. People don't get literally EoS or near EoS Luffy is going to take on him with the likely aid of Sabo and he can't go down without pulling at least high to very high difficulty, or else that fight would not feel as satisfying.

You are taking one of my points and not reading the rest. The point is putting Mihawk on a war front like every other character for the EoS. Its like how he was at the Paramount War. He wouldn't have been there if not obligated to his title. I'm saying that as an ally to Shanks, there's a better chance of Mihawk doing awesome shit during the final war, instead of just loafing around waiting for Zoro.
