Mihawk can't be equal to Shanks if the author sets him as WSS and Mihawk himself stated he is no more much of a match in addition to that. Unless Shanks is no swordsman which is virtually impossible.
Or think again smart ass; Shanks is not only a swordsman, thus them being equals doesn't stop mihawk from being WSS.

That's saying like mihawk and Jozu are equals, but mihawk can't be WSS because of that.

Jozu is not a swordsman. Shanks has other powers, so mihawk can still be WSS and not beat Shanks from 12 years before at the same time.

That also proves Shanks has other powers, other than being a swordsman.

Yoru is not only one rank higher than Enma, but it's also a Black Blade. There's no way Zoro is beating Mihawk right now, if he turns Enma into a black blade in this arc and then shows Asura, then yes i agree.
Yoru must be a top 1 sword in the world, in addition to being a forged black sword. Worthy strongest swordsman in the world.

but i think Griffon Shanks is supreme grade too

The problem is always, If Mihawk is hyped for his Title, why can't Shanks?
It's mostly Oda's fault. We should know shit like this by now. But assuming Shanks is not considered for this title. Mihawk beat the previous WSS or maybe even his final PVP against Shanks was the moment he attained the title.

But as with most of the things in this damn manga that are foreshadowed, we might never know this. But considering Mihawk is the one to hold this title it's safe to assume he is the best, isn't it?

We heard there was never a clear winner in their duels; That means Equal strength. Mihawk knows Shanks of the past, but not the present, Unless he can somehow gain absolute clarity of strength by looking at people.
Mihawk is still nowadays recognized as WSS in the databooks so that's enough proof the title still holds the grip basically.

So all the paradox-finding matters come off as zilch at the end.

You completely ignored the point.

Mihawk is waiting for someone that is significantly stronger than Shanks to fight them.

If you're not addressing that, then don't bother replying.
I literally responded to that point lmao. I actually even point out the bullet point in my post. I'll say it again, you guys are reading way to deep into the subject material when the manga, nor this material itself, has ever implied who won.

If it was that simple, then it should just say "Mihawk beat Shanks". Instead we only know Mihawk stopped fighting Shanks because he lost his arm, to which we have no idea if he even lost power because of it. Hell, the manga in fact seems to imply the opposite. He BECAME a Yonko after losing his arm. He claimed with 2 Yonko and an Admiral non chalantly.

Again, stop looking at this with blind goggles for Mihawk and try to look at it objectively. I implore people to stop relying on supplementary material and just wait until we see more from Shanks/Mihawk. We are closer to knowing than ever before how this story is going to pan out, but we need to stop creating bogus vs arguments over characters we virtually still know nothing about

In fact, he does, that's one of the most important characteristics of Mihawk. He's able to evaluate people.

He was able to see Zoro's will, determination and potential back in Baratie.

During Marineford, he tested Luffy, and said that even tho he isn't as strong now, his greatest power was how he could make people around him turn into allies.

He also tried to evaluate Whitebeards power, but Jozu interfered.

Mihawk is very observant, in fact he was suposed to be called The Clairvoyant.
