If that really is Denjiro, he could be ID'd as either Koushiro or Kyoshiro..

- Kyoshiro's features always resemble katanas, e.g. his hair and his eyes... and in this pic, Denjiro's ponytail really looks like a katana in a way; Koushiro however, has more facial resemblance to this guy - the glasses, the hair etc - and even keeps a ponytail as well.

It'd be hella awesome if Zoro's teacher was one of the Red Scabbards tho'.

I do think the sword was meant to passed down to kuina but zoro got it because he wanted to takeover kuina s mantle.

Also i am pretty sure oda wouldnt make mistake with timeline. He did foreshadowand connected rox plotline with shakky way back in sabody.

It could be, but its clearl the other 8 scabbards believed Denjiro was in Wano at least 20 years ago. 24 years ago however, Koushiro had Kuina in East Blue. He would actually have to decanonize Chapter 0 if that is the case. UNLESS the Dojo they mention in chapter 0 gets retconned to being in Wano before he leaves for East Blue

well i was thinking that too but to be honest he is only 184 cm he cannot be Denjiro as the same of Kaido's flashback . he seemed to have about Ashura's size.
