@Cinera Zoro doing good vs Kaido on one hand suggests he is already above the level of King, sure, but on the other hand it is evident King is the typical Zoro opponent: right hand man of the villain, swordsman, serious attitude. For me King and Queen are just Mr. 1 and 2 all over again, also there is Luffy (and co this time) most likely fighting Kaido 3 times like Luffy with Croco. So I still have the impression Zoro will have a fight or something with King. It can also be that he will both fight King and then go help with Kaido. Let's say I need King to have its fight (and that has not to be Zoro of course) to shake off this sensation.

Sure, Zoro has superficial reasons to fight King. It doesn't compare to the deep reasons he has to fight Kaido.

• Zoro is keeping Wado Ichimonji until he becomes WSS
• Zoro will forge Enma into a Kokuto and keep it till EOS.
• Zoro will trade Sandai for Nidai.

Yes probably enough substantial time to refill the batteries and try to recover from the most of the injuries prominently so that Zoro will be capable to fight off Kaido in overall good conditions, perfect portrayal to render the fight enthusing and solid consistency wise, and also eventually give more chance to everyone to show what they have gotten under a more important light.

In my opinion, the 9 shadows being cast in Toki's prophecy are Zoro's "Kiki Kyutoryu Ashura" !
So I think Zoro will use it in the final round against Kaido while Toki's prophecy is rehearsed.
Then Zoro will not only behead him but, while doing so, he will also turn the dark sky into mist ... to let appear the rising DAWN
