Its not called "protect" its a weird flavor ability.
Only thing it doesnt protect from is investigation for some reason.

This time AL sama didn't force us to lynch someone present on that list the day after like in the Valentine's game, so I imagine it was a fake eventually. Or else he should have forced us the next day.
