Roger vs WB clash was nice!
I always viewed Seagull and Sunbell as the next best things after Ray and Scopper.I am glad that they were highlighted in the anime,also my boy Taro sliced some fodders and is also present in lot of scenes,which is nice.
Love how Ray finger blocked young Marco!
That Yuji dude looks really cool!
Nice that Scopper got some character development and that he made a bond with Oden down the road.

Sidenote: No disrespect to Gaban by the way... it's just funny because for the longest, people mocked Rayleigh, and said Oden was facing Roger with WB and not facing Rayleigh to downplay Rayleigh... or even suggested that it would take Tag-Team of Rayleigh + Gaban for Oden...
Toei as always warms my heart.... Final outcome is Oden vs Gaban... that's as far as the ranking goes for Oden on WB ship LMAO
Hell, it looks like even after the fight, Gaban was supervising Oden... where he's keeping an eye on him

It was to be expected, Oden wankers were just ahead of themselves. Prime Ray was above his pay-grade with Gaban being his rival in strength inside the crew.
Prime Oden pushes Prime Ray to High-Extreme diff tho, so it's all fine.
If Rayleigh used 20% of his power the battle would've barely lasted an hour.

When it comes to canon, I never refer to the anime. But speaking about Rayleigh and Oden, I have never put Oden at the same level of Ray and no argument has been able to convince me otherwise. Rayleigh overall portrayal in the story is straight up better.
Oden was a monster for sure but it doesn't change the fact that he has been overrated by a decent part of the fandom.

Forgot to add that Yamon is sort of introduced in the anime,while in the manga he isn't(we only have his sketch)
About the Episode:
Great one, enjoyed it very much, had a lot of fun. Oden Piece does good and seeing Shanks/Buggy is just too enjoyable.
But one thing i ask myself again, and i did also in the manga back then, Roger is already close to his end and he just wants to reach Raftel till then. Ok. But shouldnt be Puma D. Rouge somewhere around than? Ace must have been "made" sometime then?
I don't fucking know man. Somehow Oden supposedly grew during the final voyage. Not even a logical reason why he should grow. The roger pirates had not a single enemy post that battle with the WBP.
For Roger, Oden is just a tool for the Poneglyphs. Strength wise he doesn't another guy he can two shot on his worst day

People do not realize that Oda holds so much high respect for Rayleigh as a character to actually be toppled by a NEW PRESENTED crewmate...
Like it's been for the LONGEST Roger & Rayleigh... Same for Luffy & Zoro....
No matter WHO JOINS their crew, no matter HOW STRONG the newcomers... they WILL NOT be above the captain + vice-captain... NEVER...
This is exactly like Jinbe's case... Jinbe was stronger than Luffy pre-skip... yet Jinbe ONLY joined the strawhat officially in Wano... the same arc Oda is displaying that Zoro is stronger by facing Kaido... and (POTENTIALLY) Sanji will also face stronger opponent than Jinbe...
So... it's the same for EVERYONE when it comes to (Roger & Rayleigh) or (Luffy & Zoro)
They will ALWAYS be Top 2 of their respective crew... no matter how much feat you guys see from Oden in this arc...
In fact, anything Oden does, only makes Rayleigh look stronger and stronger...
It's exactly like how in manga, people when they see Zoro does something great, they say "and this guy is not even captain" just to make Luffy look more prestigious...
