Firstly, how could the cult convert when there were only supposed to be 2 recruits excluding Odd? Unless one of the recruits got the ability to convert. So I would assume that this is the last conversion because only 3 members in total can be cult.

IIRC Odd's role specifically stated it's the only one that can convert..
Maybe it's like a "godfather" role that gets inherited?
