Yamato is 101% joining...

Carrot's chances of joining is just as good as Caribou's... Either both of these weak Cs will join or none...
Yamato joining makes sense indeed. For her potential both strenght and character wise I think. For example granting them the chance to develop their personality past the fixation with Oden by setting off for a new journey. And the Wano inhabitants still hate Yamato complexively.

You're comparing a twisted self serving freak to an uncompromising friend. How disingenuous can you get?
I'm not comparing them as similar personalities... They are 2 very contrasting individuals but with a similar connection with the crew... Both initially involved themselves in the crew being stowaways...

That's the only way I can see them forcefully join the crew... They will be stowaways once again, they will become apprentices...

Even in that sense, its an argument in such bad faith. They have completely different motivations, which goes for their stowing away as well. Carrot wanted to help and be part of an adventure. Caribou wanted to capture everyone, and clearly isn't planning to stop taking advantage of people. That initial circumstance you're pinning your argument on is flimsy at best.

If you don't think Carrot will join, fine. If you do think Caribou will join, all the power to you. But Carrot joining is not the least bit contingent on Caribou joining, and to suggest that is to spit in the face of anyone who appreciates Carrot as the decent, upstanding ally of the Straw Hats she is, completely the opposite of Caribou. Carrot may not join, but she has a heck of a better chance than Caribou.

Yamato expressed a desire to board Luffy’s ship back in Chapter 985, and it can still be presumed that Yamato currently wants to travel with Luffy, since there hasn’t been any indication of Yamato changing her mind about this, right?

The motivation lies in why Yamato wants to go. To explore? To escape? To save Wano? To be a part of Luffy's crew? And because of Oden, or because of Yamato himself? There's still a lot of uncertainty about Yamato's top priority, not to mention how Momo and everyone else Yamato thought were dead will factor in.

Yamato has wanted to leave wano for years. They’ve mentioned multiple times their desire to leave and straight forward stated that they want to be free.

They’re leaving Wano, and probably as Luffys crew

If I had to guess, I think it would be to escape from being in one place all the time and from Kaido’s abuse.

Come on, man...you’re saying all this while also acting like Carrot has a stronger case when she has literally never said anything other than purely wanting to see the world. She doesn’t have any particular attachment to Luffy or his crew other than sneaking onto their ship and hanging around for a while (like all the other minks who’ve played similar or larger roles in the series), she has never explicitly expressed a desire to travel with the Straw Hats, she’s demonstrably unfit to hang with anyone major in terms of strength (barring the one time a month when she becomes insanely powerful, provided the moon is visible), and being inspired by Pedro may be more important to you and yours than Yamato following Ace and Oden’s respective wills, but everyone else knows how Oda ranks those three in terms of relevance to the overall plot. Yamato has also been pretty clear that leaving Onigashima would serve her two-fold: she’d get to see the world as her mentor did with the next guy in line for the throne, AND she would escape the maniacal tyrant who created her before spending the next two-plus decades torturing and neglecting her. It would still make sense if they both joined, or if neither one did...but if Yamato’s case is weak, Carrot’s is simply nonexistent at this point, I just don’t see a scenario where the latter becomes a member of the main crew and the former doesn’t.

Yamato has a lot of wishes, and there's no telling which way they'll lead him once the battle is over. Becoming Oden, allowing Momo to bring the dawn, going out to sea, opening Wano, being free. Do they all coincide with being on Luffy's crew? Maybe. Could any and all of that happen by joining Momo instead? Maybe. Which has always been my point: Yamato has a choice to make between Luffy and Momo, but each is equally likely to make him happy.

She wants more than to see the world, but I never said anything about her dream being more certain than Yamato's. I expect to find out more about both of them, and I'm pointing out what Carrot still needs just as much as I do Yamato.

This I find patently ridiculous. She has bonds with half the crew already, with the touchstone of Pedro's death a big part of it all, which is a lot more than Yamato can currently boast.

How many Straw Hats did before they joined? Usopp didn't, Robin didn't, Franky didn't, Jinbe didn't until the end of FI.

Which may change depending on whether she takes Perospero's jibe to run back home lying down or not.

Oda brought up Pedro's last words before AND after the battle with Peros. You discount it at your own peril.

Kaido isn't going to still be an issue after this battle. That leaves seeing the world and everything else, and you can read my response to Yasheen for that. I'll just end by saying I don't think Yamato has a weak case or that Carrot's is airtight. However, I believe Carrot has been given more time to grow with the crew precisely because she's going to join, and the rushed nature of Yamato, much of it with Momo rather than a crew member, indicates the opposite.

Carrot will never join the crew
We'll see.

Zoro, Nami, Usopp, Sanji, Chopper, Vivi, and Jinbe all met Ace before. Robin, Franky, and Brook have never met Ace in real life. I think Yamato would fit in well with other people who have met a legend before. And the Whitebeard Pirates might respect her.
She should look for new shores because by experience the Wano citizens will hardly ever stand her for example, unless she killed her own father maybe.

What do you mean Yamato can accomplish her wish by joining momo?? Momos going to be the new Shogun of wano. Yamato refers to themselves as Oden because of Odens wish to be free from this cramped land and leave.

Momo is staying on wano. And you have to admit Odas testing of Yamato has been much kinder than anything Carrot was given...

People used to say this exact same thing about Rebecca for the first half of dressrosa :milaugh:
Nah yamato is connected to ace/oden.........plus has desire to venture out.........rebecca didn't have any.............plus at the end of the day anything can happen....if oda wants ulti may join and not yamato so nothing is set in stone obvi............
