Zhao:
The chapter begins with citizens from the Zhao lands leaving their homes because they were chased out by the battle with Qin. They heard news of Kanki's deeds and how Kochou, the current strongest Great General of Zhao, is fighting to protect them. But since he's always been in Kantan they don't know for sure how strong he really is.

Ousen HQ:
Once they receive news that Kochou set out towards Kanki's army Sou'ou says things look easier for them. Akou says he can take an army forward toward Heiyou castle and capture it. Denrimi says it's not that simple. Even with Kochou leaving the castle the current Zhao forces facing them won't be easy to punch straight through. But the most worrying thing is Kochou because he could turn around and attack them from behind if they push in instead of attacking the Kanki army. Sou'ou asks if he thinks that was Kochou's plan from the beginning. Denrimi replies saying he doesn't know how he fights since he's been in Kantan all this time. Akou asks how the Kanki army's doing and Denrimi believes they will retreat once the Kochou army gets close enough. If Kochou is aware of the Ousen army's advance then he wouldn't chase too far and come back immediately. Sou'ou knows if Kanki's army fought Kochou then that would considerably lessen the chances of them coming back to Heiyou but Denrimi doesn't believe he will do that. Instead he says Kanki will most likely wait for Kochou to come back, weaken in battle with the Ousen army then come later to a better situation and take the glory.

Sou'ou asks what Ousen wants to do and he says they will wait and observe Kanki's movements. When asked if it's because he believes Denrimi's prediction is right he says he doesn't know because Kanki is the one man whose mind he could never fully understand.

Kantan:
Rihaku and Kousonryu meet for the first time in awhile. Rihaku is being sent to the front of Heiyou. They heard Kochou has headed towards Kanki's army because he came too far in. Rihaku believes Kanki would run away but if by chance they were to fight Kanki would die right away. Kousonryu says to not underestimate Kanki while Rihaku says it is the Qin who are underestimating Kochou. Before he was the guardian deity of Kantan he used to be in the front lines. Rihaku even got to see him in action before. Kanki might be feared on the battlefield due to his actions but the one who should most be feared is Kochou.

Kanki army:
Kanki's HQ receives news that Kochou's army is half a day away from them. Marron says if they're to retreat now is the only chance left and even if they don't he can't come up with a plan to fight Kochou's 150,000 soldier army. Kokuou asks if they received any orders and Marron says Kanki left it up to him and that they're all going to die. Ringyoku asks if it's left up to him why they can't retreat and he says that's the one thing he wouldn't forgive him for. Marron thinks there's no good reason for them to fight and they really will die like fools. Raido says if that's the order given to them then just focus and come up with a plan. They've won battles like this before many times. Marron says it's because the scale of the battle were very different. Right now the scale of their battle is bigger than anything they've faced before. Raido says to shut up and asks if they're really Kanki's team.

He says he's surprised by the boss. Even if he doesn't really know the big significance of being a 6GG their boss hasn't changed. This alcohol they stole from the Zhao is really good. However, after him and the rest of them all joined Kanki's crew the alcohol they had during that time was way better. Marron says his tongue is stupid. Raido says it's better because they, who once had nothing, now have something worth keeping. That's why he believes Marron is freaking out, tho Marron says that's not why. Ringyoku asks if it's because they felt like they were able to quench their thirst for something. Raido says that's it. However, the boss hasn't changed and is fighting like a maniac, if anything now more than ever. This man who said "let's fight guys" who can't be understood is being followed by them because they really want to see what will happen. Raido says he'll go back to the right wing and once this war is over they can ask the boss together why it seems like he's still thirsty for something since they've all been wondering about it. What exactly is Kanki fighting for?

The battle between Kanki's 80,000 army vs Kochou's 240,000 army begins.

Okay the buildup starts so i didn't expect much development. Kochou hype, the Ousen army is worried about him making a feint attack luring Akou into Heiyou so they prefer to wait and see how Kanki responds. Everyone betting on Kanki's retreat but you know damn well he will do something big when it's said not even Ousen knows what goes through his mind. I would say Kochou is doing good but his manpower is too ridiculous, and he got several generals introduced last chapter. It's time to let the Zenou loose...

I liked Raido's line about how Marron was freaking out because they've gone from hollow bandits to a force fighting to keep something. It opens the way of redemption for Kanki's underlings.

Denrimi really is the right hand man of Ousen. He might be on the top 5 strategist of Qin right now.
Kochou might have more than just a brain of strategist. He could very possibly have Renpa level feats in battlefield.
Kanki Army having their moments.. Never have i thought we would see Kanki Army share such words and moment among them.
The battle between Kanki's 80,000 army vs Kochou's 240,000 army begins.
Let's F**king GOOoooooooooooo..!!!!!!!

Lol those Zhao idiots
if they truly think they can beat Kanki with numbers they are wrong Kanki is in his natural environment the mountains and a guerilla-battle is more suited for this terrain and that's what Kanki will do :
ambush them he will kill woman and children to make the enemy furious at him
then he only needs to set up traps beforehand, retreat and let the enemy chase him one by one they will fall to this trap

this size of an army is too big too slow to fight these terrains

Kouchou will lose many men if he continues this march

I would prefer defense rather than approaching an army of this size doesn't have the equipment nor the experience to fight in these terrains

Zhao is so dump letting there MVP to be rotten in the corner while losing valuable men power

R.I.P ZHAO

Kochou must have considered numerous tactics before marching in. So, I'll wait before passing judgement on his move.

It is what it is.

Of course but even in the face of 240.000 men Kanki doesnt retreat those who are specialized in guerialla warfare know that having a large number of people isnt really smart because you lose mobility and a large group of people can better be ambushed there the easier prey think about Oars charging into marineford no wonder Kanki is confident he will win

Also if we assume Kanki will use ambush tactics to counter this its just 1-3
so if each man will be able to ambush 2 Zhao soliders Zhao would lose 160.000 men

Under normal circumstiance Kanki would retreat Kouchou wants Kanki to retreat and then block Ousen so he would defy two generals as once thats but Kanki doesnt play that game he is sure he can encounter them in the terrains seeing Ousen doesnt react means he thinks that too

bascially Kouchou is thinking with sheer difference in numbers Qin right would retreat and without delay would stop the middle and leaving Qin in a situation unable to move on or conquor further

What Kanki is doing is either suicide or a genius move to collapse Zhaos defense

If Qin retreats now then there hope to unify China will be further delayed so Kanki doesnt really have a choice but to act thats how important his decision is right now its do or die

240,000 with Kantan elites among vs 80,000, that's a slaughter, wonder what Kanki will be up to :hope:
It's likely that Ousen and Yotanwa will somehow get involved with Koucho's army aswell. I honestly don't see Kanki dealing with an army of 240.000 on his own. I'd say Kouchou will be the final opponent the Qin have to face before Riboku, Shibashou and the others get (re)introduced.
