whether it's escape arc or war arc doesn't matter. I can also say that it's important for luffy to converse his stamina before the kaido fight since it's going to be all out fights for him. And not like luffy had to fight by himself to help jinbe there. There was also our beloved sanji here who could help jinbe.

What should be looked at here is the stakes. Jinbe had to face against a yonko crew while sanji had to face gifter army. And yet luffy listened to jinbe words and ignored sanji advice. Just telling you manga facts. :kayneshrug:
