Anyways, just because a certain character believed in Luffy to defeat Kaidou doesn't mean that character won't face Kaidou anymore. Like, Kienemon "left everything on Luffy's shoulder" and still he confronted Kaidou again in this chapter.
So I'd say Zoro still has his chance to face Kaidou in combat again.
ZKK is still inevitable tho.
