@Cinera What do you think about the fact that Kaido thought the All Stars are not needed to capture Yamato, and instead turned that into a game for the Flying Six ?
Would you send your absolute best leaving your self open? Even if your strong. That's a bad strategy plus if they got injured...
But yeah even that can be explained away.
But iirc it's more of a incentive for enabling the strong to get stronger.
It's not that difficult.

They were not aware of the invaders at the time right ? And Yamato was in Onigashima he didn't have to send anyone away.

Do you want to injure your forces? It was a hypothetical.
I've said this before, BPs focus on strength and proving it, the goal was set to capturing Yamato would let the flying 6 to challenge any of the Calamities for their position.... if your target is weaker than the highest Calamities then why bother letting them challenge any if them and not just Jack?

So subduing Yamato is considered as less of a feat than defeating any of the All Stars, since that only gives you a chance to fight one of them and potentially still lose :quest:

No, your looking at it wrong. Capture is easier than defeating. Why set a target goal if that's weaker than the goal the challengers are looking to get.
Yamato has to equal the highest person they can challenge.

I mean, she basically needs to be defeated if she is not willing to come.

And it makes absolutely no sense at all for the stepping stone requirement towards getting a chance to even fight any of the All Stars to be thought as more difficult than the final challenge of actually defeating one of them :sus:

Did anybody get captured while being defeated? Buggy beat Luffy? Queen Beat BM? Like I said, Capture is easier than defeating.
No your just unwilling to understand.

For Kaido that often wandered the world around alone, just like when he jumped from Sky Island and landed on Kidd's camp earlier. Yes, sure he would be worried if his calamities are gone to capture Yamao.

p.s.
And just like KuroAshi said, at that time they didn't even know yet that Luffy and alliance will invade Onigashima.

I mean, yes they did ?

I think you are trying to argue that you can defeat someone without being stronger than them ?

And then sure, i will agree.

But that would also apply if they were to fight the All Stars, one could find a way to win while being weaker.

Capturing Yamato is still set up as a stepping stone towards getting the chance to even challenge an All Star, so that gives more weight to the chance at a fight with an All Star than it does to capturing her.

Your thinking it as a stepping stone is where your logic is faulty. If you can recognize it, I'm done with you.

And yet everything afterwards says Yamato is above the Flying 6....
Your logic is faulty.
Well she can still be stronger, right ?

They needed to prove themselves to get a chance to fight an All Star, but if they can't, then they are not worthy.

Nothing wrong with Yamato > F6 and the F6 being unable to complete the task and get their chance to fight an All Star.

It's also possible that Yamato is being underestimated by Kaido, so this speaks more about their estimation of Yamato's strength, than it being concrete evidence of where Yamato stands strength wise.

It's interesting to look at Yamato's perceived strength, and see where she ends up afterwards.

You don't have to be defensive about this if you like Yamato.

If they can capture Yamato that's the same as if they can challenge the Calamities they can still lose.
Why say capture and not defeat? Because defeating will be much harder.

Well maybe they defeat Yamato and then she manages to run away. That would make it so that they have failed to capture her, even if they have defeated her.

Like i said a few times already, they first need to prove that they can capture her, to get the chance to fight one of the All Stars.

They must have accomplished that, to even get a chance to try and fight an All Star.

It's really, really odd that this needs so much explanation.

Your trying way to hard to justify yourself and your position.
