Nah, Yamato vs Kaido needs to be personal. Luffy has no place in that fight until Yamato gives up.

This is something Yamato needs to do by herself. Luffy will not arrive until Yamato has given up or been defeated. If Luffy arrives before then, he'll sit out or Oda will stall him.

Yamato's confrontation with Kaido is inherently personal. No one else has any place until it's over.

These have no bearing on Yamato getting closure on her relationship with Kaido.

Yes but like, Luffy taking too long could be the difference between her ending up unconscious or too injured to fight anyone else, or defeated but still conscious an able to recover after Luffy tags along, depending on how much longer Oda plans the arc to go on for.

For example, if Luffy takes 3-5 chapters to return then the idea of her recovering for another full 1v1 matchup is plausible. But if it takes him like 15-20, then it's much more probable for the other matchups to happen and end in that time, probably leaving Yamato to witness the climax of the arc while still injured.

Granted we also haven't seen WHERE Yamato and Kaido are fighting yet lol

There's a theme amongst the beast pirates. Apparently they like playing with their food and only get serious when it really matters. They're tough and resilient. People have already forgotten how the fanbase roasted Kaidou for getting manhandled by the scabbards and eventually when he became serious, the perception about him changed.

The same applies to Queen and King. Counting them out early and assuming they are lesser than other people of their level because of how they've been portrayed will make you all look idiotic in the long run.

People are so impatient. The same as they were when Kaidou was getting "Man handled". Just wait and see.

Your're right, that's quite possible actually like in Udon they have 10% seastone in it or something. If Yamato is as strong as Queen or stronger that would be very hype. @Cinera I might have just changed my mind or at least opened to the chances of Yamato being a lot stronger.

I think that’s a product of Kaido stat distributions. Kaido has the durability to eat their shallow attacks easily. So he’s actually better off against those 9 than 1 Zoro who packs serious offense. Yamato’s best chance is to have better defense than all of them IMO. Kaido could one shot them. I suspect her durability will let her hold up better than the 9 of them.
