Chapter Discussion Rokushiki is based on Haki

#61
rokushiki maybe your right but with tekkai is just body control a character needs to learn to how to hardened the body
Rokushiki is a set of martial art skills.. but not all of the skills in this martial art type are haki i reckon... tekkai is coz its a logical conclusion that its haki... we all have FB arnament that is invisible like BM... plus Rokushiki is a very strenuous martial arts..

in addition if its not haki then what hardens the body then... the body can't harden itself just by willing it now can it.. so ist either that it haki or some other source of power we don't know but that source is a a bit farfetched option... so its prolly haki that they use to harden themselves

All other users say Hi back.
Jabura is more skilled at tekkai with that logic.. just the fact that someone can be this skilled in tekkai means that others can do the same if they master it...

i reckon tekkai needs control and concentration..if it uses haki

so Jabura has that concentration...

Jaguar was the only who could use it while moving.
that doesn't mean other's can't.. if you go back to stampede.. canon or not.. Lucci used tekkai against sanji's kick while kicking him

You keep forgetting that Tekkai is muscle tension technique based on physical stength.
Meanwhile, Armament is a spiritual technique that has nothing to do with physical strength.
Haki novice like Sanjino has no issue moving while masters like CP9 do? :yasu:

It hardens muscles.... but the more muscular you are the more efficient the technique is..

the question os what harden's it... it wasn't introduced as something that innate comes from muscles.. but just that it hardens it. sooo

there must be some basis to it.. like haki... but there aren't
No it doesn't, Rokushiki also includes Kami-e people can't just make their body move like paper or shrink your body to make your body faster like lucci did and so we aren't talking about real life from what we can see you can do many crazy things with your body in one piece, so able to harden your muscles by learning takkai isn't that crazy.

finger pistol coz... your finger needs to be hard enough to bypass defenses.. so potential CoA
If it was why didn't luffy become swiss cheese.

It is two fundamentally different abilities. Haki is a spiritual ability, an invisible armor to coat yourself in.
Tekkai is something entirely else - hardening the user's muscles and it prevents the users from moving which has never been the case with Armament haki users... It is two different things which achieve a similar result but different nonetheless.
Exactly.

Jabra also only used it in moves, where his posture stayed static, he just had to initiate them with a certain amount of momentum. He wasn't really "freely" moving around.

Blueno did it the same way with a tekkai based superman fist, that he initiated with the momentum from Geppou.

That movement restriction aspect totally makes no sense for a CoA retcon, especially cause like all the other moves, except for Rokougan, it's totally explainable w/o haki.
Paper cut might feature CoO, but that's just really that.

I guess It's be fair not to catalogue Tekkai as haki unless it would harden more than just the body's muscles. I don't remember whether or not the translation dictated that however. If yes it would be weird if Oda defined Tekkai as Haki.

Exactly. People are just acting dumb.
Or the author is fucking stupid with this retcon shit, what's next Luffy had CoA when he defeated Crocodile

If Tekkai still makes people unable to move, it is definitely not Armament haki.
As if it is needed on top of the two abilities being fundamentally different. :sus:
This concept is useless why not teach them straight CoA anyway if Rokushiki would truly be haki based, you would be able to move also while covering in CoA. Just stupid shit overall

It will probably be used to hype up the forces of the World Government when they apply both Tekkai and Armament together to achieve solid defense considering that many Strawhats are having quite a decent firepower that CoA/Tekkai alone wouldn't handle.
