Zoro has unlocked CoC but still hasn't mastered it yet like Luffy, Kaido, WB, Roger and BM. Meaning, he still can't use it consciously. When he'll master it, his sword will have the black lightning coming from it. King could've potentially mastered CoC.

King doesn't need to have advanced coc so that Zoro can learn it.

The true question is, can Zoro's attacks without advanced coc damage King enough so he can win him, or he must learn to use advanced coc to King to win him?
