It's not really about strength but the manner in which it was done. It discards build-up and characters- if Oda wanted Zoro vs King, he should've given the build-up and King himself more attention. Why are they interested in each other? What do they have to offer each other as characters? What growth is King providing (strength-based or otherwise) to Zoro? Not just slapping two people who've never interacted before into a fight.
Zoro was desperate to get up for this? Zoro vs King was fine with building around it- Zoro vs King for the sake of Zoro vs King is bland, however.
The fight will likely be over without Asura's use in 15 minutes, but the issue is mostly narrative based not scaling based.
Though, on another note, Marco did call Zoro the star player- and the chapter is literally titled after that. Idk how any Sanji fan can use this chapter of all things to downplay or vouch equality and stuff given the literal name of chapter lol
