Chapter 1,022: Shooting Stars
In the cover, Crocodile and Mr.1 save a baby duck from being eaten by a bird.
Chapter starts with the battle between Killer and Hawkins. Raizo is disappointed, Fukurokujou would stoop so low to use other ninjas to face him. Raizo used to believe Fukurokujou had honors and beliefs as a real man. He says Orochi has tainted him. Fukurokujou bickers back saying, following Oden has only made Raizo a weak fool.
Cut across the map to Killer vs. Hawkins, Killer uses an attack called “99th Sigma Cross” sending Hawkins back. Hawkins brings out the news that he is on his last life. And that it is Eustass “Captain” Kid’s. Killer is terrified not knowing whether he has injured Kid or not. Hawkins tells Killer to give up, unless he wants to forfeit Kids life. We see Hawkins take advantage of Killers brief complacence and shoot out his straw sword with an attack called “Strawman Fence, Final Gambit”.
We cut away to seeing King having a Conquerer’s clash (what it looks like) with Marco. King slices Marco with Armament Haki cutting through his chest. Marco is blown back. After this brief slash, King takes the time to attack Sanji with Queen.
Queen fires lasers with unlimited Ammunition/Energy based on tools and secrets he stole from Judge and Vegapunk. King cuts through Sanjis arm and leg and Queen fires a laser through Sanjis pelvic bone. As Sanji falls to the ground we see Perospero ready his Candy Arrows and fire at Sanji. Sanji momentarily faints with blood running across his body.
Just then we see Nekomamushi jump in to attack Perospero. King notices Zoro getting up and his strange haki. Marco uses this chance to kick King in the head pushing him back. Zoro sees Sanji on the ground struggle. Marco mentions that there is no need to worry to Sanji, and as a warning to King and Queen, as the Rising Star has arrived.
Sanji is briefly healed by Marco as Zoro blocks Queens lasers. As King flies back next to Queen, Zoro slices King across the neck, and Sanji kicks Queen on the abdomen. It seems Sanji has used Concasse and Zoro has used Purgatory Onigiri.
Zoro and Sanji say after this fight they will be close to achieving Luffys dream.
On the bottom of the page it says Onigashima is 15 minutes away from the Flower Capital.
