I would have never foregone that Ryuma lost one eye tbh. I actually wonder if there's something more to that and perhaps they can awaken a power and it's not lost. Sounds weird that all these characters are losing an eye at the same time.

It really was surprising but after seeing Ryuma's skeleton again i am really amazed that no one saw through it because he literally had a bandage on that eye
It may very well be a power up because it is not conventional that Oda focuses on a character's external appearance in that way so i think he has a plan.

I'm praying Jack can manipulate his zoan and make a true hybrid instead of this centuar. It's odd to me that Oda didn't really focus on the hybrid (didn't give it a true "don" moment) just him running, but not in way where we can see the design well enough

He didn't want to run away and abandon his family despite knowing he was gonna get killed, he was straight up gonna walk into a trap just to try against impossible odds, it takes a lot of balls and a strong will to try something knowing that it will 100% kill you

The definition of a swordsman no longer matters as of this chapter because the purpose of all the mental gymnastics was to say that Zoro would lose if other people used something else other than swords and Zoro just killed their entire career by saying that he isnt going to lose no matter if swords are involved or not.
