Carrot's going to have her moment to shine. That's regardless of whether we think she'll be a straw hat or just a fun side character. But the fact that she will have her spotlight
at some point,
in some way is undeniable.
1. "
Just turn yourself into a mighty warrior"
2. "
Everyone has their moment"
3. "
One day you will understand the importance of the straw hat crew"
4. "
Keep moving forward"
These are all loose threads regarding Carrot's character which need to be resolved. Her story is not going to end with her losing off-screen hung up on getting revenge. That's the opposite of what she was set up to become.
These points will get addressed at some point, the debate is about how and when it's done.
Those against Carrot4nakama believe that Carrot will fight Perospero and that's her character wrapped up right there and then. She'll then leave the story afterwards. That fight will be her moment to shine and everything regarding her arc will be resolved in that moment.
But now...it seems Carrot might not even be involved in beating Perospero. A Sulong Neko should absolutely destroy candy man and in this very chapter it was brought up again the need to not interfere with other people's fights. Oda even commented in an old interview:
It would be strange to say the least for the main moment that Carrot achieves Pedro's vision of her as a "mighty warrior" to simply be a gangbang on poor Perospero.
So the question is,
If Carrot's moment to shine isn't in the Perospero fight, then when will it be?
Morj sums up the reasoning well in this video. I think Carrot's role could be in fighting alongside them. It simultaneously addresses each and every one of her loose ends.
Shows her off as a mighty warrior. Shows that she's moved on from Perospero and "kept moving forward". It shows that she recognises the importance of the straw hats and it's simply her moment to shine.
I could of course be wrong, but what I'm almost certainly not wrong about is that Carrot will have
a moment to shine. Be it simply beating Perospero, vs Kaido, or whatever else. That on its own doesn't mean she'll be a straw hat, but it does mean that there's more to come. Don't forget she is the 8th most popular character in the entire series. More loved than half the straw hats. Oda's gonna give her a decent send off at least if she truly is leaving.
