The whole point of being a real swordsman is to have a warrior soul and your own style.
What's gonna happen when Zoro Kills Kaidos and gives his fruit to Enma, is he not gonna be considered a swordsman anymore? Of course not, he has a warrior soul after all.
But well yeah, if you carry a sword that doesn't necessarily mean you are a swordsman especially in this verse where we've seen relevant characters who have swords also use punches, kicks and devil fruit abilites.

That is such a chimpanzee logic and I expect much better from you. I never said I am biased towards the character i am defending. I said character I am defending is worthy of my attention now because he is associated with a character I am invested in.
That doesn't mean i would compromise my own intellectual integrity and defend the idea I don't believe in myself. Everything I have been saying about King, from praising his objectively impressive feats to his exceptional relevance in the defeat of Marco to him being demonstratively stronger than Queen through multiple subtleties, I actually believe in.
The idea that Fujitora is significantly stronger than Marco or even stronger to begin with doesn't have any sound basis, its just an assumption we make due to our preconceived notion of what level of combat power level is bare minimum qualifying requirement to become an admiral.
King on the other hand we have on panel quantifiable evidence is significantly stronger than Marco by virtue of the fact that he single handedly defeated Marco in a matter of one hour in his base form mean while Queen was getting embarrassed by Chopper and Marco.
Hence King has more going in his favor than Fujitora does in a situation where fight indeed happens between them.
Zoro is at the very least stronger than King already and Mihawk is stronger than Zoro.
So Mihawk is stronger than Fujitora by multiple levels based on this alone
And this bare minimum qualifying requirement is very relevant because we have a solid case comparing someone as strong as King and someone as weak as Katakuri both being first commanders. I won't put Katakuri on King's level simply because he is a first commander when every form of logic dictates he is mid diff fight for base King tops @Fleet Admiral Lee Hung

This is just Oda killing his own work as he is up to since Whole Cake Island. So being a swordsman is relative now, and Zoro said he would bite King if needed to win and make Luffy Pirate King. So if Mihawks ever lose a sword battle he can simply say the person wasn't swordsman and maintain his title forever.

Winning a fight doesn't have to badly damage your opponent or kill him, King dropped and decapitated Raid Suit Sanji in a low or neg diff effort and since you brought that topic up here is why its a neg diff fight.
Raid Suit Sanji has three main buffs, durability, speed boost and invisibility hence why he dominated Page One so much.
But King who wasn't even aware of sanjis presence to begin with not only reacts to raid suit invisible Sanji but also blocks it on time. That's a great CoO feat as Sanji is crazy fast with crazy CoO himself. In comparison in similar scenario Queen couldn't even react to base Sanji.
Then King blocks Sanjis momentum charged kick with his knee and feels zero pain while when Sanji and King clashed Kicks on fair ground next panel Sanji felt pain "oof" despite Raid Suit.
Then King choked Sanji and unlike Marco, Sanji was unable to get out of Kings grip, he could have taken sword out and beheaded sanji right there
But then he used his beak on him and rammed him in a building and sanji was decapitated for few minutes while King left to fight Marco or something and Sanji was shown recovering later basically saying Suit saved his life.
This is King without using his named attacks hybrid form, Haki, swordsmanship, or his signature god powers
