We the readers know what's happening in the background but what do you expect the normal citizens watching this are thinking? If this is supposed to be like a misunderstanding of some kind that The citizens don't really understand that Oden is doing them a favour by killing Orochi then is would really help if Oden ISN'T CUTTING DOWN RANDOM GUARDD WHO ARE JUST DOING THEIR JOBS... I mean right? What are all these people he's plowed through supposed to think when he supposedly liberates them from the tyrant who they don't know is a tyrant? They are supposed to say "Oh thank you Oden for cutting me down and then cutting down my leader so can you tell me exactly why you did any of this again. I'll just sit down and listen"

Oda developed Oden's character to be like this, he was always being reckless and doing stuff without thinking. From Wano to Whitebeard Crew and Roger's he has always been like this and now we have a enraged Oden and if anything this is in character for him to be doing.

Yes but this is no longer a tragedy to me

I mean it could get sadder of course since Toki and Hiyori and Momo get affected but it has gone down tremendously on the sadness meter from what I originally thought it was going to be

See the first time we saw Oden and people were making comparisons to Hercules, I WAS ALL IN... The story of hercules is pure tragedy distilled and if this story even tapped 5% of the sadness in that story, we would've been in business.... And I see now that that's seemingly impossible because of one thing, character development

Hercules' story is sad because he changes and has character development and still can't escape his actions of the past or just the general fate he was born into... That's what makes it sad... that growth did not actually fix anything

Oden DID NOT grow as far as I can tell and so mehhhh.... He doesn't have some insurmountable fate so mehhhh.... He isn't caught in a situation with no options so mehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Oden is just a Chad who got out chadded by a bigger Chad Kaido and snivelling virgin Orochi and thats seemingly it... Maybe this one wasn't for me. Maybe if I was also a Chad i would feel so bad that this crime against Chad kind happened... But alas

I wouldnt be surprised if Kaido and Oden came to an understanding at first and coexisted or that they were fighting for years.

The year Roger disbanded his crew was the same year Roger gave his One Piece speech and started the Great Pirate Age. Also, Ryuma's corpse was stolen a year after that(a year after the current chapter) and Moriah was still a rookie and probably lost his crew then.

Kaido probably acted like a guardian of Wano until he and Orochi(or Oden) said screw it.
