Actually this question apply to ZKK faction only. If you think that Zoro has two main feats/fights in this arc (beating King and then ZKK), what do you think will be Luffy's second feat aside from beating Kaidou? Or do you think Luffy won't get anything other than Kaidou as his main fight?

In One piece, a victory is always defined by the last man standing. This is why Luffy technically beat katakuri despite Luffy getting KO'd first. Luffy was the last man standing and hence he won.

If Kaido somehow gets up after Luffy KOs him and Zoro has to finish Luffy's work, then Luffy wouldn't have defeated kaido. ZKK only makes sense if Zoro is literally killing an unconscious kaido.

I imagine he will arguably do either nothing else or take down Big Mom during this very arc. I would love the latter but then Oda would render Elbaf rather annoying probably and Elbaf is quite possibly a Road Poneglyph location at least seemingly.

Kaido recovering from his defeat thanks to an ability designed to do that doesn't take away Luffy's feat of defeating him.
Just go back to Impel Down to see how characters view the defeat of awakened zoans.
Chapter 532:
All right!
We defeated the hell beast!!
Chapter 544
Bon Clay: What?! I thought we beat it already!!
Crocodile: They won't stay down for long. They all have devil fruit powers. They're awakened Zoan-types!
Yes Bon Clay, you did defeat it!
However, as Crocodile explains, after being defeated, they don't stay down for long!

Luffy defeating Kaido in a 1-on-1 will be proof that Luffy is finally ready to become the Pirate King.
Zoro killing Kaido post-awakening will be proof that Luffy's crew is worthy and dependable for the Pirate King.

.
So you think Luffy will beat Kaidou (non-awakening version) while Zoro will kill the even stronger version of Kaidou (awakening version) that is recovered to full health, even after beating King? Seems like a scenario with too much spotlite for Zoro and too little spotlite for Luffy imo.

What?
Since when is the "awakened-version" the "stronger" version?
How do you come up with this?
How do you come up with him recovering "full-health", too?
Awakening isn't some kind of additional Zoan form that's even stronger than Hybrid.

Let me explain...
Luffy will defeat Kaido in a 1-on-1. That will be the biggest feat of this arc.
Kaido will acknowledge Luffy as someone stronger than him and as someone worthy of becoming Pirate King.
Kaido, after his defeat, will recover (thanks to awakening, since one of the uses of awakening, is to make Zoans wake back up after their loss) a small amount to still be a threat.
This is when Zoro steps up and decides to protect everyone in Luffy's absence.
Zoro will most likely get two attacks on Kaido.
One on Oni Kaido (Hybrid or base), where Kaido acknowledges him as the monster samurai of Oden's like.
And a second hit on Dragon Kaido, where he repeats the dragon-slaying feat of Ryuma over the Flower Capital.

This will be a great feat for Zoro.
However, it still won't trump Luffy's feat of defeating the strongest in a 1-on-1.
Zoro's feat will only be possible thanks to the work Luffy accomplished first.

Luffy would have gotten Roger~esque acknowledgement.
While Zoro gets Oden/Ryuma~esque acknowledgement...

Why does he have to do anything?
Luffy defeated Doffy and Chinjao and Zoro only defeated Pica, what else did he do?

I mean thats the point, Luffy has more spotlite than Zoro in each arc. Zoro beat Hody while Luffy beat the ES-overdose version of Hody, and beat Noah in sea-weakened state. I mean is ZKK really gonna happen and Zoro will get 2 spotlite while Luffy will get 1? That kinda stuff.

The Jailer beasts were defeated, and got back up, but the people who defeated them were perfectly fine, and could continue fighting against them if need be.

Luffy fights his opponent to the point where Luffy himself ends up passing out shortly afterwards. If Luffy knocks out Kaido, and then passes out himself, and Kaido ends up getting back up, while Luffy is still knocked out, then the winner would be Kaido, not Luffy, because they both passed out, but Kaido got back up.

Or are we supposed to believe that Kaido won't be able to push Luffy to that point?

Kaido already pushed him to that point, and Luffy was the winner despite what happened with Katakuri, same will happen with Kaido but Kaido standing up

does axe hand morgans have hundreds of chapters building up their defeat by the hands of Luffy?
Post automatically merged:

It takes olympic tier mental gymnastics to believe that Kaido's conflict with zoro is in anyway more important than his conflict with Luffy. Luffy vs kaido has literally been at the core of wano, whereas zoro has basically been Luffy's sidekick
