It doesn't mean that at all. Lethality =/= AP. Akainu might have more lethal attacks than WB, but WB has way more AP.

Weapons in general (swords, clubs, tridents) are more lethal than punches when they can actually land. Simply because punches are easier to land cleanly. That doesn't mean the power behind the attacks is stronger.

Akainu is literally said to have the highest AP in OP. And how is fucking up someone's internals less lethal than causing external damage?

The scar is just a way for the manga to show that a character caused kaido, who has an invincible body, a significant amount of damage. Don't focus too much on the scar. Instead, focus on the fact he received a significant amount of damage.

Luffy is attacking Kaido with attacks that cause internal damage. If the manga wants us to know Luffy cause or is causing Kaido a significant amount of damage then manga will tell us in one way or another. IE: The manga informed us that Doffy internal organs were ripped open by Law's GK or Zoro receiving 20 to 30 broken bones from hakai.

Ryou, internal destruction Ryou etc are applications of CoA and Luffy has certain application that Zoro doesn't even need. Zoro's Raw CoA level is so high, he does more external damage than Luffy but also more internal damage.

Look at how much blood Kaido is coughing from Zoro's casual attack. Blood coughing shows internal damage, show me Luffy matching that with his CoA

Kaido's organs were already damaged from that barage, and being made to spit up Luffy from a surface slash did not do the internal damage, it merely exposed the effects of it.
