This becomes somewhat a problem for Mihawk since now CoC is gettin more and more important with almost each chapter but we know the CoC champion is Shanks so the more it becomes important the more Shanks gets hype. Mihawk vs Shanks duel were legendary (both hackyman so far with no df power)
This is my opinion but I feel this two clashing/dueling were the most impressive fight of that era (with white beard/kaido/Big Mom) (White beard knew about it and was the first thing he had in mind )
This fight was the most important fight in that era. I hope we will get more info soon maybe with the new movie RED

First of all, Mihawk in no way has ever stressed a desire too actually take down a Yonkou. He reached his dream years before the actualy story began, becoming the World's best swordsman, now his main objective in life is too find another worthy rival and kill some times.

Mihawk is a character whose actions are heavily dependent on his mood as seen here:

Furthermore, I don't get where this "he depends on the Marines/WG" comes from. If that was the case Mihawk would've requested aid from the Navy to walk into a Yonkou's territory or talk about the matter with the WG first asking for permission as his actions could trigger a war.

in this case its because this moreso is tied to his ambition which is to get to be where mihawk is .
zoro unlocking coc shouldnt mean mihawk has it

To be fair given Mihawk relevance portrayal and importance to the plot it was always highly likely that Mihawk had COC.

Mihawk is fucking strong.

You know. Doubting Mihawk in the first place was a joke. Those stinky Mihawk haters like erkek or noodle gauging his power level off of his effortless clash with Vista where Mihawk literally shat on Vista because he wasn't interested in him but observing how Luffy does.

Mihawk is Zoro's final boss in the show. Look what happens currently. Zoro damages fucking Yonko, blocks a crazy attack, and is now in the process of progressing his CoC and shit.

After that, he will most likely fight Shiryu, Kizaru, and probably but questionable Ghandi, and only then there is Mihawk at the end. Whoever thought for a second that Mihawk is anything less than Yonko caliber threat to Zoro should ask Bolt for sprint lessons so they can run as fast as they can and hit their heads to the wall.

I dont think his coc has to be stronger than say roger or wb just cause he has the strongest blade
I think him having coc and
being able to coat his attacks with it
is a fair expectation.I wont go too overboard on how strong it is to wield yoru or to make a black blade.

There's literally nothing Zoro cannot cut. Headcanons are just another thing that got cut with this chapter.
I find it amazing that certain posters still use arguments from 12 years ago as a coping mechanism toward Mihawk being the WSS. It isn't even EoS and Zoro has advanced CoC. That should be enough to infer that Mihawk will also have this ability, as the wielder of the finest blade in the world, Yoru, one of two known blades in the ENTIRE OPverse to be black.
