I literally said that. Luffy is using Internal Damage, Scabbards are using Ryou. They are not the same.

It's ryUo not ryOu.
Internal destruction is the level beyond barrier. Barrier is what is required to damage Kaido.
Every attack Luffy has used against Kaido has contained at the very least barrier and most likely internal destruction also.

Editors note doubling down on king's wing toughness . Zoro penetrated kaido's scales with kokujo o tatsumaki. Same attack was no sold by king's wings. Zoro didn't just penetrate king's wings with hiryu jigoku.. he severed the wing.

Same attack would also sever kaido's limbs... Or his head
