The moment that made me dislike sanji was when he told jinbe to kill himself a character that carried luffys ass from ID to Marineford.
He also talks a lot of shit about disliking people messing with food such as when niji didnt want to eat his food but he puts razor blades and freaking poison on zoros food.
He refuses to poison big mom but gladly does it to his nakama?
What niji did to that food was nothing compared to what sanji does to zoros food.

Back When They Called Us Devils
It was character assassination for Sanji. He saw Luffy literally go all the way to Enies Lobby for Robin but thought that Luffy wouldn't back him up if Germa tried to harm Baratie? That Luffy's protection wouldn't be enough? Luffy would happily leave the grandline for the sake of his comrades. At this late stage in the game where they are close to finding the One Piece, all the crewmembers should know the extent of Luffy's love for them. And what did we get? A forced rehash of Robin's departure at Water 7 + Luffy getting beaten down for no real reason.
What an embarrassment.

Nah, I still liked him even if I didn't appreciate every choice he made and every direction Oda took his character that arc. Sanji subconsciously preparing what the crew would want and enough food for all of them already says a lot about his mindset then.

He wanted to go back but felt pressured to stay and was attempting to come up with further reasons to remain. Pudding revealing the truth, Reiju telling Sanji to return and Bobbins trying to get some of the food were just the last straws that lead him to go back to Luffy, followed by Luffy forcing him to admit he wanted to return to the sunny. Whether Sanji planned to give the food to Luffy initially doesn't matter much to me since it's made clear he made the food he prepares for the Straw Hats regularly despite his attempts to move past and forget them and it's meant to mirror him preparing food for his mother.

As for him cooking for Big Mom, he said it himself, he'll cook for anyone that's hungry despite what they've done. Sanji cooked for Gin and Zeff gave food to Don Krieg. What Sanji won't do is work for Big Mom as her chef as Tamago was suggesting because they're contemptible to him for harming Pekoms, their own crewmate, and he already had a crew.

The Honoured One
So you hate Sanji for his decisions among so many things but thinks Luffy's decisions, mind you, the Captain's decisions, are just totally fine?

Honestly thats a biiig mistake

And you can argue the same for other moments in OP

Sanji himself gave Luffy the reasons why he couldn't go back to the crew like everything was just fine, the same reasons Zoro would probably give (thats for Ztards who love to go ahead of their minds in that matter), and what did Luffy do?

He punched Sanji in the face, he basically punched Zoro here, cuz he doesn't care about anything

Even Brook knew it all
Thats everything you need to understand
Thread is about Sanji made by a Luffy fan yet you have to somehow try and shoehorn Zoro into this. Rent free retard.

On topic. Yes. He's pathetic. WCI was a garbage arc for everyone not named Katakuri.

Zoro Worshipper
I disliked his choice to abandon his dream to find All Blue without trying harder before thinking it would have been useless to trust his nakama better and try harder even if that would have meant risking Zeff's life more. I'm fairly confident Luffy would not have given up his dream as easily. He could of waited for the propitious moment ie the time he was reunited with his crew and try to subvert the situation for how hard.

He spitttin

Tell me how he’s wrong with the punk hazard drugged kids reaction from Sanji?
what’s ur pathetic dick sucking excuse for that?
Its all a matter of reading, simple as that. As i said here, Sanji worries about things that are correlated to the people he cares about the most, like his crewmates and friends, his pride as a chef is also an unique part of his character, don't mistake these with "Sanji is literally Jesus" or something

Funnily who bring that up ignores Sanji and Kinemon parallels, that are far more relevant in every single way than

"omg he didn't want to help some random giant kids who came up here crying out of fucking nowhere!"

That is pathetic

I literally have seen no one that brags about "Omg Sanji is so kind, damn, he is like the One Piece Jesus Christ omfg"

Yes, he ignored them, thats why he risked his life to save everyone and praised Nami for her kindness afterwards

The thing is there are a lot of things on Sanji's character that built him up to be someone cold and potentially evil/mean, but he simply isn't, most likely the opposite.

nah he just a scumbag most of the time

nah he just a scumbag most of the time
Someone can be a scumbag and still be kind, these are two completely different things. I wonder why you consider Sanji a scumbag

I could easily call every single SH a scumbag for any damn reason and action

Even Hitler had good moments with his family, and he loved animals, he had values that most people would agree with, does this make him a good person?
:milaugh:

If you hate Sanji because of WCI then you don't read the story properly. Speaking from my personal experience, I was actually one of the few that understands Sanji as a character and the decision he makes. Too bad not everybody have the same mindset as me. If you thinks Sanji is a contradiction then you're not a true fan.

Welcome to the House of Hope
Some arguments here reminds of early editions of DnD, where you would have some Lawful Good Paladin, and, if the character ever did a single action that wasn't deemed "lawful goody", the DM would bring forth the anger of a thousand incels and complain to the player that he now has to lose his paladin powers because he once did something that goes against his alignment.

- Luffy telling Law he plans to "beat the shit out of the 4 Emperors" is completely out of character for someone thatis never the aggressor, but more like a defender.
- Zoro not wanting to hurt Monet just because she's a woman is completely against his entire backstory with Kuina.
- Robin deciding to play the "mother role" with Momonosuke is completely out of touch with Robin's character.
- Jinbe betraying Big Mom by beating Opera and saving Luffy and Nami, then trying to do the "honorable sake cup" theatrics makes no sense (thanks @TheAncientCenturion for opening my eyes on this one. lol)
- Usopp making that speech on his head telling Nami to just lie to Ulti and say that Luffy won't become PK just so she can live, when he did all that "don't you dare laugh at my friend's dream" stunt in Alabasta against Mrs Merry Xmas and Mr4 also contradicts his character and his growth to becoming a brave warrior of the sea.
- Chopper during TS says he wants to become a "monster" if it is for Luffy's sake, but instead becomes even more sugar coated and gives people diabetes just by existing.
- Garp going through that dilemma of either helping Ace, or keeping his duty as a Navy soldier, and then, out of nowhere, wanting to kill Akainu because Akainu carried on the execution that was supposed to happen.
Etc.
Sanji is not above that.
Of course his character has contradictory moments.
What do you expect when you have an author that wants to juggle hundreds of characters by himself?

I think making him a Robin was kinda shitty even though it made sense. Like... after dealing with Nami and Robin you'd think he'd be self aware in that situation, but then again there weren't many options on the table.

A big part of Sanji for me is that he's not Zoro or Luffy. He'll give up the seas for a reason he finds fitting and that's what he did, for several reasons. In the end he made up for it in his own way, again even if the idea of feeding Big Mom is sensible but shitty
I mean it wasn't about being aware. He was the one telling usopp and luffy to stop when they split up on water seven

This was made clear when luffy said he didn't believe sanji. We all knew sanji wouldn't do such a thing if it was just the shs and nothing else.

He had his hands and zeff to worry about. There's no way to save zeff who's as important to sanji as his own life. He made sanji into who he is at his core.

This isn't about not having faith in luffy. This a complicated situation with no way out. Luffy coming to save him would have only hurt luffy in the end.

Sadly oda was lame and made the hand blowing up threat non existent and had germa leave zeff alone. These are the reasons. Nothing more.
