Oda: The tradeoff of not being able to move that you’re referring to never existed in the first place. If he wanted to move but couldn’t use Haki during that time, he could still run from place to place to hide. In Dressrosa, after using Gear 4, he coincidentally ran into his allies and supporters so he could preserve his energy while they carried him to the next fight. If those people weren’t there then Luffy would just have to do his best!​

This man gets it. This is what I been telling people. Luffys is going to have a fruit awakening. His fruit awakening is going to be him maintaining and using gear 4 without needing haki. Dont forget luffy needs to use armament haki to tighten his muscles after he inflates it with air. He is constantly externally and internally using armament haki to even use gear 4 hence why he runs out of haki so damn fast and has a long wait time. His awakening can help with this by being able to tighten his muscles without the need to generate haki to do so. So he wouldn't have to waste an absurd amount of haki in just sustaining the form

That isn't fundamentally flawed, staying in it for extended periods because you are otherwise outclassed is the problem.

Using it as a quick change weapon like he did against the ship, the number and in snakeman quickly against Kaido is fine. In, attack, out, unless you are 100% sure of victory.

Zoro can't stay in adv CoC mode without draining his life force, but it's still a good trump card, Law and Kidd can't control their awakenings properly etc.

Dude I said i miswrote that. I meant to say that Doffy’s dialogue with Luffy implies that Bellamy = gamma knife while Oda implied that Luffy would win without assistance in the SBS.

The fighting scene sounds amazing, Kaido's haki and stats are stronger yet Luffy seems to be pulling ahead, I think it just shows even though Kaido is stronger on paper, Luffy is just a BETTER fighter, more skilled, superior instincts etc.

But yeah, Post Wano Luffy is probably beating the Three Admirals.

I really think he's currently stronger than BM tbh. Competing against hybrid drunken master Kaidou in base, without even doing a fusion tech of CoC-G2 or CoC-G3, without even any Gear Stacking, without even explicitly showcase Internal Destruction techniques? He's just insanely strong now, now Oda's big homework is for Luffy's mentality. He's like Juggernaut...but with a brat's mentality.
