In real life, broken bones are obviously more serious.
But in the world of anime, particularly one piece, scar is a lot more significant than broken bones.

1) Scar is a permanent remainder of an encounter or a relationship with another individual.
Think: luffy's scar by akainu, kaido's scar by oden, zoro's scar by mihawk, shank's scar by BB.

2) Broken bones can be healed easily in OP with no lasting consequences. Scar remains and stays, and it always ties back to the person who left the scar upon.
Jackpot

Characters no sell Broken Bones so much in One Piece its almost comical, bone injuries should carry on to the next arc logically. And Usopp should be long dead by now or at the very least have some Brain Damage.

It depends…
Some scars are more dangerous
Some broken bones are more dangerous…

for examaple, to compare broken bones caused by Law with Kid… Law breaking Big Mom’s inside rips are more dangerous and life threatening to her than her arm caused by Kid…

so I’m not even comparing broken bomes to scars here…. I’m comparing broken bomes to other broken bones and still it differs…

it’s why Big Mom herself during that scene talked about Law technique being dangerous while she healed her arm afterwards…

So, nothing is clear cut…

Sometimes breaking bones will be looked over, while the bleeding caused by the scar is too lethal and deadly

some other times, a scar did not cause too much damage on performance of someone… while broken bomes are impairing the enemy causing more damage..

Anyways, in the case of Zoro/Law/Kidd

I’m sorry but I will side with Law mostly…

back to my points:
- Zoro’s scar did not make any effect on Kaido’s performance… in fact, Kaido didn’t even kneel or feel like the scar took too much of his health, even Zoro himself admitted that.

- Law’s last attack on Big Mom was many times stronger than his previous one which cause her rips to be shattered from inside… to me, it was more deadly attack before the finisher with Kid…

- As for Kid, it’s really hard to scale his attacks for me compared to Zoro… simply because Kaido’s scale is tougher than Big Mom imo, but at same time, Kid comes in swooping in after Big Mom taking big hit by Law to do an attack to Big Mom who just got the full force of Law’s attack… so I am not sure if the damage caused by Kidd attack is a result of his own attack alone, or a result of an accumulation of damage mainly by Law…

I’m not trying to discredit Kid, but it’s literally what was said in last chapter by Law himself, and it’s also what Kid stated in other previous chapter and what he’s counting on “drop of water by time opens a hole in a rock”

so I can only try and scale Law/Zoro and for me Law did better damage here..

but Kid I’m not sure… he might be in Oda’s eyes did more damage than Law for all we know, or he may have done less damage than Zoro..

it’s up in air with Kid, and that’s why we complain about how he was handled by Oda here… cause you aren’t sure of how effective he was or amount of damage he really caused

Kaido never got hit by awakened from kid
He was feeling pain from being crushed or slammed

Kid deals equal or higher damage since he's the finisher.
Law crying because he wanna finish BM yet so far BM has tanked his attacks faster and quicker which proves his AP is powerful but not enough

Since that nowadays the portrayal argument it's overused let's do it again: causing a scar in One Piece has a better portrayal than breaking bones.

So it doesn't matter which feat is more impressive by real life standard. Portrayal > feats, that's what I was told

Btw cracking/breaking bones was never given any narrative importance other than momentarily magnification, while scars have almost in every case a deeper meaning behind it.

Shanks scars represent his grudge vs Teach.
Same can be said of Luffy's chest scar by Akainu
Luffy's cheeck scar represents his promise to Shanks.
Zoro's chest scar the same as above etc.
We can extend to include the Oden-Kaido case also.

What if besides cutting the flesh, Zoro also cut the bones beneath it?
Scar and cut bones>broken bones. :goyea:
Jokes aside, the scar cannot heal, bones can.

Kaido's scar has been portrayed as something special the whole time.
Nobody says "He is the only one who broke Kaido's bones".
They say "He is the only one who scarred Kaido" instead.

Lol Zoro fans so insecure

:gokulaugh:
Definition of insecurity: Insecurity is a feeling of inadequacy (not being good enough) and uncertainty. It produces anxiety about your goals, relationships, and ability to handle certain situations. Everybody deals with insecurity from time to time. It can appear in all areas of life and come from a variety of causes.

Based on facts from the manga zoro fans have zero reason based on performances we can provide facts on

If we compare Big situation to Zoro earlier on the roof it's clear having her ribs broken isn't as severe, it's impressive Law managed to damage them nonetheless, but the real danger of that attack was more about the internal destruction, in OP broken ribs usually aren't much of a big deal tbh. Sanji is a good example in Alabasta where he defeated bon clay while having ribs broken. Usopp i think broke some of his in ennies lobby and was just fine. Kaido has been hyped as the most durable creature scarring him is probably a much more diffucult task that breaking some of BM ribs imo especially when you take into account the condition Zoro was in when he achieved that

Having broken rips then defeat an opponent doesn’t mean it’s not a good damage…

I can basically say the same with scars… Zoro left a scar on Kaido, yet Kaido won..

Akainu blew half of WB face yet WB won that round (repeat: half of face blown away > Scars or Rips broken)
