Chapter Discussion One Piece - Chapter 972: I’m Oden and I was Born to Boil

Pretty sure Oden meant that nobody will be able to stop Kaido, including all figures of 20 years ago, Whitebeard as well since he talks about figures that not only arent in Wano but have yet to muscle their way into the New World and be the ones to defeat Kaido.
It is also consistent with what Yasu said that nobody was able to claim Kaido's head for 20 years.
Also, before MF war Kaido tried to kill Whitebeard and was stopped by Shanks. There is no clear superiority among the Yonkos and that includes Primebeard of 20 years ago. Big Mom needed army of Giants to crush all the Yonkos and that means in 1vs1 she would have to do the heavy work since Giants do not matter against the Yonko themselves. Seeing how badly Oden has cut Kaido, Shanks cant need more than 1-2 clean slices either to beat Kaido if he manages to land a hit. The same goes for Mihawk.

Which I think is all the big ones and some little ones. Don't think I've missed any important ones anyway.
And in every one of them except for Nami's, the flashback ends with the black border fading into white and the person remembering the past thinking on the flashback. Now, this could be done in like two panels next chapter, to be fair, with Kin'emon thinking about Ode's last words to him.
But considering the flashback is yet to show the death of Toki, the burning of Kuri Castle, the Scabbards getting split up, Momo meeting Kaido, or Kaido deciding to hunt them to find the secrets of the world (is this something that happened in the present day?) I really don't think it's over. The narration- "and so ended one legend, to be carried on by players of the next stage. The story hurtles to the present day!!" is like the one we had about the hour of legends. The legend of Oden and his part in the story ended, the story is moving on to the new players (Oden's children and the Scabbards). And we will see Toki literally hurtle some of them into the present day.
Or I'm totally wrong and the first page next week will cut straight to the present. But 23/24 flashbacks following the same pattern is too much to ignore.

Not really, but when the past 10 pages is zoro wank in a chapter that has NOTHING to do with zoro, its bound to piss people off. People come in here to talk about the chapter. If you want to wank create another thread or go into the numerous zoro wank threads that already exist. If you dont want any of that then dont blame me or others for shitting on you guys.
