Blackbeard is a fantastic villain and character, I really cannot wait until he gets the spotlight and his own arc. I wanna see him actually become PK and even King of the World, to sit on the empty throne and rule over the world for some time.

I love his DF too and now he has WBs too, he is an even more immensely terrifying powerhouse than he already was ofc. BB is gonna add real "darkness" to the story and cause some real reality checks or at least I hope so ofc.

Really can't wait until we start seeing what he's truly capable of, when he's truly serious and what makes him tick, why he is the way he is and if he's going to get a 3rd DF and which one too. Or who's DF even too. Maybe even more than 3? Infinity Gauntlet Rings of DFs? Like Shang Chi's Rings of Power or w/e to think of it too actually? Lmao.

Oda said he created BB by being inspired from the real BB from history. Oda is a huge fan of BB, and BB's lost treasure is actually the inspiration for the One Piece story.

And there are always 3 Admirals since the series started, and Blackbeard already challenged all the Marines at Marineford even before, challenged Sengoku + Garp at the same time. Perhaps losing to Luffy won't be his final battle, perhaps he will die while fighting 3 Admirals at the same time?

Because the early design of Blackbeard was possibly capable of fighting 3 Admirals at the same time;

Holy fuck thats epic....I heard of Maynard vs the real BB, there was a rumour he cut off BB's head and it swam around the ship in circles or something?

Blackbeard going out in One Piece to 3 Admirals at once would AMAZING and give him a further parallel to Luffy his rival/foil as Luffy faced the OG 3 admirals at once before too ofc! Plus both were massive game changers at Marineford and for the world too ofc!
I really want to see Blackbeard vs Fujitora, Akainu and Kizaru specifically and its ironic he has Aokiji on his side now supposedly! I really can't wait to see why Kuzan is with BB and where that is going to lead to as well.

This is really interesting food for thought. I think I saw your thread about the theme of 3 but I'll go check it out now too.

Yeah that's however the abandoned concept for Yami df. Oda probably thought it would be far too early to make a character that strong yet, might have been a wise choice.

Aye, maybe he can get still get that from awakening his DF? Find a way to bring it back?

I forgot to mention, I remember this fan art of Blackbeard with the literal Devil fruit or Akuma Akuma no Mi and he was wrecking 3 Admirals in the art including Fujitora lol.

Might be when it fully is ecplored, or it remains an abandoned concept but becomes as strong as he was intended but with a different concept (he got the 2nd df afterall, he probably chose either having yami make him that strong or have him break a df rule)

Magellan was later badly beaten by the Blackbeard Pirates. BB's initial "defeat" only resulted because they underestimated Magellan according to Shyriu, I doubt it took all of BB's pirates to defeat Magellan,after BB subdued him, the BB pirates finished off Magellan, it is similar to Big Mom subduing Marco and asking Perospero to finish him off.

With the 2 Yonkos falling now, I really hope we see Kurohige take the limelight finally and do some CRAZY, rock the world type shit again. I really can't wait to see what chaos/anarchy he will unleash, I adore chaotic/anarchic villains/characters like him!

I love the choice of territory Oda gave to him too, its what I really hoped for with him and its extremely fitting. Thematic to his character to a T ofc.

I can't wait for him to take the stage and show what a truly magnificent, cunning, intelligent, competent villain and future ruler of the world he is.

He embodies everything that pirates are and he's gonna bring back the series to its roots, to ground all the nonsense and remind everyone what this series is meant to be about.

I am still extremely excited for him, despite how Oda handled Big Mom and Kaido. Blackbeard has been decades in the making and I doubt Oda will fuck it up. He better get a truly interesting and not undercut flashback like Kaido too, I'm still fuming over how Kaido was done dirty.

Lowkey, I really want one of his crew to get Rocinante's DF somehow as it would fit their infiltration theme adequately. I'd even hope for Lafitte to have it especially as I think it would sut him perfectly too. Shiryu would have been my 2nd choice and Devon as my 3rd. Lafitte seems to be based on Italian mimes and if he does have Corazon's DF, it would set up a very powerful, emotional and thus personal fight with him.

Completley 100% concur here too. This is exactly what I've wished for to happen. If Oda is willing, he could turn the OP world upside down once again and even more so by far if he takes these routes. Imo Luffy should have to defeat the "false Pirate King" but imo Teach is far more deserving to be Pirate King. At least in the typical sense of being a pirate I mean and thus ruling over other pirates, the seas and such.

I love the fanarts being posted here too, very awesome!

I also want to ask, what DF do you think Burgess will get in future? I want him to get Jozus personally but Oda may give him something related to infiltration too like with Shiryu and Catarina? I also kinda wanted him to get Bellamys fruit tbh and there would be some kind of ironic parallel with him and Bellamy too imo?

I also can't wait to see Doc Q and Stronger in action, they are going to be very bizarre and badass imo, some truly classic OP shenanigans and yet awesomness too. I really wanted that Grim Reaper that Zoro encounted to even be Doc Q somehow. I actually feel Brook may fight him instead of Chopper too or him and Chopper together vs both Doc and Stronger, if Brook doesn't fight Lafitte too. But I think Lafitte is a top tier in the crew ofc and will probs fight Sanji or even Nami.

I have a feeling Devon will fight Yamato if she joins, two Mythical Zoans and badass, strong women going head to head and some theories associated Devon with Wano, including due to her DF as well. Two Japanese mythical beings going head to head there too.
If not, Robin will probably face Devon instead but I hope Devon won't transform into Olvia like how Marias cronies did vs Robin too. I don't Oda will recycle that.
