people understimate the magnitude of zoro's feats in chapter 1009-1010.
he was weakened beyond believe, all bones in his body broken, and yet he managed to pull out asura, blast CoC and scar the WSC.

lets put things into perspective:
- whitbeard was WSM and during the summit war he couldn't use CoC and CoO, and his CoA was trash, all because his body was weakened due to sickness.
-we all know that sea stone severely weakens devil fruit users, it drains their energy at a massive rate that luffy & kid went from being morbidly obese back to their normal shapes in a matter of seconds.
- in yamato's vivre card it was mentioned that her handcuffs were made of sea stone, yet she could use both her devil fruit and haki quite comfortably, but in luffy's case when he was imprisoned in udon his conditions were much severe, even though his sea stone cuffs were designed to have a mild effect, he couldn't use both his devil fruit and his haki, he was breathing hard, and he went down in one hit by babanuki.

- gear 4 uses to much haki, which puts a lot of stress on the body, after luffy runs out of energy, he suffers the same punishment (although temporarily) as being handcuffed by seas tone, and can't use haki for 10 minutes.

physical condition has a great impact on haki usage/potency.

zoro wasn't just weakened, he was utterly destroyed with no means of recovery, which means that he shouldn't even be capable of standing let alone use haki, yet the grandmaster persevered through all that, played his role in taking down big mom to the fullest, and last but not least he outclashed kaido and scared him for eternity.

zoro has the greatest feats in the series.

zoro has the greatest feats in the series.
Zoro also used up a lot of haki to create the biggest haki barrier we have seen in the series to block hakai

Was using a sword that was constantly draining his haki

Even the medicine he took was never stated to recover haki or stamina he goes on to defeat King in that state. People say Oden had bigger haki reserve than Zoro if he could wield Enma as feather but i'm not sure about that. I think Enma was a lot more demanding on Zoro because it could sense he had much higher ceiling than Oden. The demands of this sword is adjusted depending on it's user Kozaburo seems to be hinting towards it with this

i agree with everything you said, but i don't think zoro needed to recover haki, instead he needed to recover his endurance so that his body can handle the extreme haki exudation of enma.
it's not a question of who has the biggest haki reserve, but it's about who has a stronger body with more endurance, oden had a stronger body (hour of legends) than zoro and that's why he could wield enma as light as a feather when going all-out with haki, while zoro can only handle the stress for a short period of time.
extreme usage of haki is very stressful on the body, last chapter we saw how luffy was trying to hold the steam inside his body, which clearly indicated that it's not about haki reserve, but about endurance, meaning he can stay in gear 4 as long as he can keep the steam inside of him.

what makes zoro so great is that even while being physically wrecked, with his energy and endurance depleted (second until collapse), he still managed to use CoA, CoC, and more complicated abilities like asura and flame rend, and on top of all that scar kaido.
whitebeard couldn't use any haki properly, and was mostly reliant on his devil fruit.
zoro's asura is very reminiscent of whitebeard's last stand.
