have you not seen Kaido actively change his body with Life return since going drunk mode?
His dragonic culverin not only changed his tail to mimic snakeman but the size of his body was much less than normal dragon form.

He is still empty handed. All his efforts still amounting to zero. His status is currently unknown.

I suppose we shall get other characters reactions to Kaido like Jinbe, Raizo, etc / updates next chapter.
