Hey guys, I'm back! Not going to waste my time arguing with delusional fanatics anymore though. Yamato vs Carrot has been done to death, and it was over like 30 chapters ago. I'm here to talk about Law, Drake, Tama, Vivi, and whoever else hasn't been circlejerked for the better part of a year, what comes after Wano, and otherwise just have fun and shit post.
No they don't. Like I said, Toei have the right of the adaptation. Like the name, an adaptation means ADAPTATION. This is not the canon material.
Oda literally uses the same japanese letters for "nakama" in the japanese version. Very different from the usual "friends" or allies.

I've checked and you are right. This is something that I didn't know.
And this is actually weird and potentially something that could change how we see the word Nakama.
But I won't lie, this was done as a joke. I still don't think that Luffy sees Law like he sees his crew. And further more he doesn't see Yamato as he sees his crew.

Eh Law is a wild card. Oda could just have him stay with his crew due to pride, or have him join to finish his dream.
Law is my underdog pick but I really don't push it heavily. The only reason why I mentioned him was because C4N is clearly making shit up to push Carrot. I don't need to diss other picks to make a case for Law, personally I think both Yamato and Law leave with the crew

The second panel was right after Doffy shot Law and Luffy said his crew was in trouble. Also he said this about Law
It's a joke because Law clearly rejects being friends with Luffy, but to Luffy Law is the +1 SH. He literally did the same with Sanji in baratie and it was a joke at the time, but we were shown that Luffy was serious about it

Yamato > Momo >>> Law >>>>>>> Carrot in chances of being the next Strawhat at the end of Wano.
Yamato top because she’s said repeatedly she wants to go out to sea, have an adventure, go with Luffy, be like Oden who went with Roger.
Momo next cause it might be something that’s required of him as a Kozuki and someone who brings the Dawn with Luffy. Below Yamato because she wants to go away from Wano while he wants to stay and be Shogun.
Law then a fair bit behind because of his role as a “rival” captain and him already having a decent psuedo-Strawhat position as their ally which means Oda can bring him both into the plot as needed.
And Carrot miles behind the others, not even really in the race, because she’s almost completely irrelevant.
That’s the cliffnote version of how things stand right now.

Yamato expressed over and over that she wants to do what Oden didn't manage to do for Wano and Momo's argument about what's gonna happen to the country if it opens his borders a few chapters ago wasn't something totally out of field, he did have a point. Luffy, Yamato and Momo are all equally involved in saving Wano's future, Momo's already aware that Luffy won't be at his side anymore but he needs to hear the same from Yamato too. It's a matter of respect IMO, in 1043 we see that Yamato basically speaks to Momo like someone on her level
