Just my 2c here Fuji:
I won't comment on balance in this set up specifically because I wasn't paying attention to any faction but my own (and I already gave me thoughts there). Though just on the surface I can see you put a *ton* of effort and considerations into this set up.
However, games on this level of SRM are extremely hard to balance perfectly well because it's not humanely possible to account for how everything is going to interact and work with each other. And I think these problems especially compound in the case of indi roles with intricate win conditions and all that.
I feel your frustration and I get it sucks when you put hours and hours into working on a set up, making cool abilities, having them all fit with flavor, and then have people complain about it. But I feel like if you rolled back just a tad on the power of roles and the amount/complexity of the indies, not only would you save yourself a bit of work and sanity but people might come away feeling less like they got shafted.

Okay my say in here, and this goes to players like @Ratchet who cry about commitment in SRM games, but also to literally everyone else.
It was clear from the beginning that commitment into this game is fatal because of the Bastard tag. Everyone should use this as a lesson and play these kind of games with less itensity but more fun oriented. Serious commitment is something that will never pay off in these kind of games. There are SRM games that were designed for serious mafiaesque commitment like my hololive game, but there are also games that will have more swingy mechanics, like for example the Town to Mafia conversion. Or the neutral to serial conversion.
Fuji correctly used the tag and nothing is to blame here in retrospect, salt and intensity is the fault of those who commit all in.
Like for real, let this be a lesson to not go hard in every game, especially those SRMs that burn you out if you commit with low pay out.
I understand that some commitment is needed in order to make a game work out, but a single person or a bunch of individuals shouldn't take the burden on their own, if one is about to carry all the burden on themselves then they should start to meme or laid back and such change in behaviour should be tolerated because you can't expect someone to go all in for 24 hours and carry a game in a fun mode game with a bastard tag.
Too much negativity that has to be sorted out, when in the end the net-value should be 670 pages of fun. You guys will treasure the time spent, treasure the memories in some months or years anyway. So yeah that is my take on this and I will def continue being me, I will be careful with my activity and my commitment in future and I don't want bad blood because of basics.

As scum in these games, you generally want to weaken town first and then take out the other scum faction. Because Town have the overall greater role strength, once scum loses a few numbers they need to break town down or else there will just be a wall of townie abilities that scum have no way to counter. Once you lost your Godfather, you should have been playing to compromise with Red Mafia - outing and tunneling them did them no favours, and in turn it led to Red turning on you - because if your team hurts their ability to win considerably, they will duly get theirs.
