Yeah, I'm probably reading too literally. Plus, if it was a real yokai instead of a figure of speech, then it would mean Kyoshiro's anger is the yokai's effect and not his true emotions.
Yh I translated it ^^. I don't think Kyoushiro meant the Yokai bit literally (I think it was just a figure of speech and not necessarily how his appearance changed) but I could be wrong, there's a lot of Yokai references in this arc so who knows.
