It really doesn't matter if Zoro was secretly stronger than Luffy during Fishman island. It's irrelevant at this point since Luffy is far stronger now than he was then.

You gotta remember that haki is directly correlates to willpower, killer was mindbroken and tortured to hell, and not using his usual weapons. It would be like giving maces to zoro or something. Despite that, zoro recognizes his strenght and they were fighting evenly for a while. And he even managed to injure zoro enough to make him faint while zoro did the same ofc. Both of them were nerfed ( zoro had 2 swords and was getting distracted) while killer was a shell of himself while not having his usual weapons. The killer that fought kaido isn’t the same killer( or should I say kamazou). I say wait and see healthy and normal killer with his weapons before casting judgment on him. It is kinda hypocritical how people excuse zoro but not killers predicament tho.

I wouldn’t say that, his training did nothing but slightly buff him up. His advanced coa training was a flop up until big mom( an intense situation) barged in and was threatening their lives which made luffy unconsciously use it to remove the cuffs

torture and mindbroken isnt exactly what happened or confirmed .

neither were mindbroken but smiled all the time. hawkins seem to imply he was sent to orochi and did what he had to to save his captain . the bandages were another point that came up .
he only had them around his arms and face . one on his face came off in water , he was unscathed. not using his usual weapon is fine, but it could be an upgrade or a downgrade . we havent seen him fight post time skip till now. smile in no way makes you mindfucked or weaker. false narrative.

Oda has clearly shown us that Ashura, Denjiro and Kawamatsu are the strongest. These 3 I’d say are on YC level. The minks I’d say are YC level as well but not as strong as the 3 above.
