2 years ago a lot of people were really believing that "OP will end in 5 years".

Ok guys, we're now 4 years into Wano (!) and there is still no end in sight.

We're 2 years removed from the statement above, so I guess that you really believe OP will end in 3 years aka ~100 chapters?

Let me whisper you something: With the current (snail) pacing OP will still go for 10 years (about 300-330 chapters) minimum and this is not an exagerration at all.

If you try to argue against it, try to remember where we were 300 chapters ago: Second half of Dressrosa.

The second half of Dressrosa, Zou, WCI and Wano made up 300 chapters.

Now we still have the last acts of Wano, Elbaf, Laugh Tale and the huge final war saga left.

If you compare those arcs with the ones mentioned above, you realize that the remaining number of chapters will be right in the ballpark of 300+, which equals 10 years.

I guess awakening is like enlightening. That there's a certain level of maturity needed for the DF itself to be realized. Luffy has reached the highest level of spirit in the three shades of Haki, and he's mentally and physically at his best.

My stance hasn't changed. If Kaido awakens i don't want Luffy to beat him at all. Better have Kaido go down with his 1v1 legend instead of giving Luffy an asspull W.

My dream is to have Zoro defeat him and kill him but I would already be content with just the latter

No marine has ever even used basic COC on panel or even been said to have it.
It was literally supplemental material that told us Sengoku had it. One guy. Vs 16 pirates.
We have seen less from Boa Hancock and Shanks than we have Akainu yet we know they can use coc.

I think Kaido has awakening but the mention of the mind makes me think that he isn’t able to control it. Which is why he grows stronger when he drinks. He’s limiting his mind and in doing so empowers his devil fruit.

The one thing I like about this chapter is the bittersweet understanding Kaido has. He knows something is up but there is no answer, finally meeting Joyboy but can't know it

Also this chapter really shows that the only reason Oda sent Yamato to get rid of the bombs was so now he can create more fake drama with Momo.

I bet next chapter Yamato is going to talk no jutsu Momo into creating the clouds, which would have happened 20 chapters ago if it werent by all the side garbage Oda created.

Yeh I’m leaning towards either your theory or the theory that the Zoan mind of his fruit is going to directly fight him whilst he tries to awaken his fruit which leads to him going into a nightmare rampage
