Yeah, Green Bull having plants-based powers have been a thing from sometime.
Since his green design + his not eating for a long time thing, that could be photosynthesis.
But he could also be a Samurai, with the whole Ushimaru (Bull) using a robe with a Green Bull, also related to Zoro somehow (who has been associated with Green all this time). And samurai have that thing were they try to never complaint about not having food. Maybe Green Bull is the extreme version of that.

It's not that old really, it started after Luffy was confirmed to be a Sun God and people started looking back into skypiea.
You know how the One Piece fanbase is, when we get a new reveal they go back to the start to look for connections.
I think Marco just wanted to help out Oden a little bit, i guess he felt bad for not being able to help him all those years back.
When Whitebeard decided not go avenge Oden, Marco was one of the crewmates that was saying they should go anyway.

Yeah I've been on the Ushimaru Green Bull and connections to Zoro hype trains too.
Oda didnt show how Ushimaru died and what happened to the other samurai with him.
If they are the top 3 Numbers or whatever (as some unfortunately like to believe) then why wait so long to reveal it too?
I think Oda has purposely held off Zoros full character development like Samji got at WCI, because he's waiting until he reveals Green Bull who may be related to Zoro.
I know Oda confirmed he's not Zoros father but with how slippery Oda is, that doesn't rule him out being related to Zoro somehow either. The resemblance of Ushimaru and Zoro is absolutely intentional ofc.

Cover Story:
Unlike a lot of the Youtubers I follow, I am not a fan of this cover story. It isn’t doing anything for me in any way. Maybe it is because I am a Sanji fan and feel the same way he does about his family but I do not care for the Vinsmoke family and what happens to them. Based on the fact that Oda is including this it makes me feel like they will be relevant to the story later on down the line. I am assuming the two intruders are Ichiji and Reiju, I don’t get the feeling Judge would be on the frontlines again, it just does not seem to fit his character.
Chapter:
The scene with Zunisha, in my opinion, was a treat. I am very interested to see how Zunisha reacts to meeting Luffy for the first time after Kaido’s defeat.
Awakened Luffy vs. Kaido is shaping up to be one of One Piece’s best fights in my opinion. The brutality of the battle coupled with the playful way Oda is handling Luffy’s abilities has just been a real joy to read. This to me is very reminiscent of early One Piece fights where it is not about the choreography but more about how Oda uses the abilities to keep things interesting. The battles in early One Piece were always a bit goofy and I feel like with this fight Oda is getting back to that more zanny way he handled them previously.
I actually enjoyed the Raizo part of this chapter. When fans were complaining about the spoilers I knew Oda would have a way to pull it all together. Raizo has actually been very well written this arc, from being the one to complain about the heat in the oil pot, to withstanding the heat in his battle of attrition with Fukurokuju, to him formulating a plan to deal with fire all this time due to the castle burning and him being helpless, was very well done. Raizo, while not one of my favorite scabbards, has really been a key player in all of this.
Momo is going to have to man up eventually, we are getting to the point where the people are going to see Onigashima where the time limit and tension should really ramp up.Yamato and Momo are good for one another, I am starting to think I would like to see them as either part of the Grand Fleet or the leaders of Wano (another allied nation of Luffy’s).
The cliffhanger was great imo Luffy. Fire with Red Hawk and now a lightning bolt….Luffy is a beast. But I do have a few questions about Luffy wielding this lightning. Is it naturally occurring lighting that Luffy was able to grab and use as a weapon? Is it one of Kaido’s attacks being turned back against him? Or is this some kind of new ability Luffy will have based on his creativity and the fruit only being limited by his imagination? Knowing Oda, there is likely some other option that I have missed completely, but that is another reason I love One Piece like I do. After having some time to ponder on these options I feel like the first option would be my preference. Luffy being able to wield the naturally occuring lightning around him would be cool and lend itself to other elemental attacks later on.
